ABC, NBC, CBS ignore and downplay missing Strzok-Page texts
FOX News ^ | January 24, 2018 | By Brian Flood

President Donald Trump, Republican lawmakers and political watchdogs are furious that the FBI failed to preserve five months of text messages between FBI agents Lisa Page and Peter Strzok – but the news divisions at CBS, NBC and ABC have largely ignored the story.

The story was completely ignored on Monday’s evening newscasts despite details emerging with plenty of time to be included -- and Tuesday wasn’t much better.

“Where the networks wanted to censor the revelations, Fox News Channel’s ‘Special Report’ covered them in detail,” Newsbusters’ Nicholas Fondacaro wrote. “Instead of reporting on the FBI, ABC’s ‘World News Tonight’ gushed about the Super Bowl, ‘CBS Evening News’ reported that Minnie Mouse got her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and ‘NBC Nightly News’ fawned over yet another royal wedding in the U.K.”

ABC News still had not even mentioned the story as of Tuesday night when it was skipped on “World News Tonight,” according to the Media Research Center.

CBS spent three minutes covering the story on Tuesday morning’s edition of “CBS This Morning,” but coverage was reduced to just 36 seconds by the time “CBS Evening News” aired later in the day, according to the MRC.

Fondacaro noted that CBS’ coverage “seemed to paint it as something the White House was claiming happened,” pointing to a quote by CBS White House Correspondent Major Garrett and the decision to hide the details in a larger story about the Russia investigation as proof that the network isn’t properly covering the situation.

The networks deem the story worth lying about. That’s good. They’re worried.

The Mediascum have hyperventilated for 45 years about a “missing 18 minutes” on a Watergate era tape, but the biased Libtards have nothing at all to say about all the destruction and evidence and obstruction of justice by Clintons, Obamas, and their minions.

I watched some MSNBC last night. Opposition research.

The spin/narrative that I heard most frequently on the texts were that they were not “evidence” of anything wrong.

Which of course is absolutely untrue, even if it its something of a subjective judgement. What would be true was that they were not PROOF of anything wrong. They very clearly indicate that the whole situation needs to be looked into.

Which is exactly what Gowdy was saying over the last few days.
The MSNBC spin was that Gowdy was claiming it was proof of a problem. He said no such thing. He is saying it’s alarming enough to warrant serious inquiry.

Don’t jump the gun on the text. They are most definitely smoke.... and where there is smoke, they should be fire. The fire has not be exposed yet.

More and more get their news from internet sites they trust. Many of the network news run stale stories that, much like day old bread, have little widespread appeal. It is so convenient to get the latest news right off devices that accompany you throughout the day. Not many want to sit down to 60 minutes of assorted tripe unless there is truly some important breaking news.

You have the correct thought but incorrect determination.

The “Media” is not a deflection tool but the outright propaganda arm/outlet for the leftist government. Deflection is but one of the tasks.
***********************

GOEBBELS’ PRINCIPLES OF PROPAGANDA
Based upon Goebbels’ Principles of Propaganda by Leonard W. Doob, published in Public Opinion and Propaganda; A Book of Readings edited for The Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues.

1. Propagandist must have access to intelligence concerning events and public opinion.

2. Propaganda must be planned and executed by only one authority.
a. It must issue all the propaganda directives.

b. It must explain propaganda directives to important officials and maintain their morale.

c. It must oversee other agencies’ activities which have propaganda consequences

3. The propaganda consequences of an action must be considered in planning that action.

4. Propaganda must affect the enemy’s policy and action.
a. By suppressing propagandistically desirable material which can provide the enemy with useful intelligence

b. By openly disseminating propaganda whose content or tone causes the enemy to draw the desired conclusions

c. By goading the enemy into revealing vital information about himself

d. By making no reference to a desired enemy activity when any reference would discredit that activity

5. Declassified, operational information must be available to implement a propaganda campaign

6. To be perceived, propaganda must evoke the interest of an audience and must be transmitted through an attention-getting communications medium.

7. Credibility alone must determine whether propaganda output should be true or false.

8. The purpose, content and effectiveness of enemy propaganda; the strength and effects of an expose; and the nature of current propaganda campaigns determine whether enemy propaganda should be ignored or refuted.

9. Credibility, intelligence, and the possible effects of communicating determine whether propaganda materials should be censored.

10. Material from enemy propaganda may be utilized in operations when it helps diminish that enemy’s prestige or lends support to the propagandist’s own objective.

11. Black rather than white propaganda may be employed when the latter is less credible or produces undesirable effects.

12. Propaganda may be facilitated by leaders with prestige.

13. Propaganda must be carefully timed.
a. The communication must reach the audience ahead of competing propaganda.

b. A propaganda campaign must begin at the optimum moment

c. A propaganda theme must be repeated, but not beyond some point of diminishing effectiveness

14. Propaganda must label events and people with distinctive phrases or slogans.
a. They must evoke desired responses which the audience previously possesses

b. They must be capable of being easily learned

c. They must be utilized again and again, but only in appropriate situations

d. They must be boomerang-proof

15. Propaganda to the home front must prevent the raising of false hopes which can be blasted by future events.

16. Propaganda to the home front must create an optimum anxiety level.
a. Propaganda must reinforce anxiety concerning the consequences of defeat

b. Propaganda must diminish anxiety (other than concerning the consequences of defeat) which is too high and which cannot be reduced by people themselves

17. Propaganda to the home front must diminish the impact of frustration.
a. Inevitable frustrations must be anticipated

b. Inevitable frustrations must be placed in perspective

18. Propaganda must facilitate the displacement of aggression by specifying the targets for hatred.

19. Propaganda cannot immediately affect strong counter-tendencies; instead it must offer some form of action or diversion, or both.

We already know from previoysly released documents that Hundreds of Journalists at a multitude of outlets were on the payroll during this “Conspiracy” to remove a duly elected President.

We call this an “OVERT ACT” in “furtherance of a criminal conspiracy” and I hope every last one of them goes to Gitmo with the FBI and Hillary and Company.

Online CNN was hammering congressional committee for not giving the FBI the memo as it had requested for review. Trey Gowdy said the memo was based exclusively on documents the FBI had finally provided them. He said they already have all the information.

ABC, NBC, CBS ignore and downplay missing Strzok-Page texts

The media serves the interests of the Washington/New York power cartels.

Since 1861.

Exactly. Major Garret reminds and looks like the Grinch...the Grinch who stole the truth and inserted his anti-Trump hate as editorial.
