And who is going to do that? CBP and ICE don’t have the bodies to do it and the locals still have to do regular enforcing. Add to that this sanctuary city crap and it’ll be a cluster. Can you do it with those already in custody and incarcerated? Hell yes, and that needs to happen tomorrow. Start there and see where it goes.
And that is e a rly what Trump has been saying
That’ll work. Also there has to be some kind of penalty for employers, no jobs no illegals.
You are a paranoid. There is zero indication that Jared or Ivanka have anything to do with this
Watch Steve Miller thats the key
It wasnt extended. Its end is March 8. That is why it had no relevance to a spending bill.
Good Lord
What are you reading and listening to? You are so far out in the weeds its ridiculous
That would be the deal. You want to stay? Your parents go, if not round them all up. I’m betting a good majority would take that deal.
Clutch those pearls as tight as possible now.
Were you not paying attention these last few weeks? The last 4 days?
If you don’t truth President Trump by now then you’re no different than Bill Kristol, IMO.
Look at how confused you are
DACA was not extended
It is Steve King not Peters (sic) King. You dont even know who the good guys are
You say people need to know the facts....try learning them your own self
Now go back to Gateway Pundit another useless source
FWIW, that is status quo, even in light of the recent decision ny the Fed District Court in California. That judge ordered renewals must be processed. he did not order that new applications must be taken.
cian Baxter Wintrich IV is an American journalist, writer, speaker, and the White House correspondent for The Gateway Pundit. He is among the first members of the White House Press Corps to be openly gay and one of the youngest.
Thats your source
Sure. All this ‘it-can’t-be-done-because’ crap is just a defeatist way of saying fine to the status quo and never doing anything dramatic, just once in a while - mostly for show - doing a bit around the edges ...
Yeah, I figured the logistics on this would be massive. It makes me mad that nothing has been done for decades about illegal immigration.
I don’t see Potus going along with anything but a very restrictive granting of legal residency. What they should do is make the definition of a DACA qualified individual one who has documented proof of being enrolled in a US school as a minor child. If you don’t have that you don’t qualify. If you have committed a felony you don’t qualify. If you are an illegal immigrant whether DACA or not you should forever be forbidden from acting as a sponsor for other immigrants even from their own families. There are ways to do this so that it isn’t a give away and we get some things that are useful out of it.
I’d also make it a requirement that any DACA recipient also be banned from applying for or being granted citizenship for no less than 10 years from the time of being granted DACA status. I think the wall funding and universal e-verify should be a prerequisite to any deal on this.
Here’s the deal. The wall must be fully funded, no new DACA recipients, diversity visa lottery and chain migration ends. No compromise on those items. Negotiations on how to deal with current DACA people and other immigration reform measures can proceed until a fixed deadline. If no immigration reform agreement is reached by the deadline then DACA recipients will lose their special status. That should put sufficient pressure on the dems to pass a reasonable immigration reform bill.
I smell something terrible and stupid coming riding on a tide of a whole bunch of excuses.
I don’t disagree with you. I’m just being honest from a boots on the ground perspective. Whenever we picked up someone on an immigration hold, it takes a minimum of 72 hours for the Feds to show up, so we can transfer custody, and that’s for one person. Imagine if tomorrow, it was 100 or 1,000. If every street cop, had to arrest and process every “dreamer” they came in contact with, in most cities that’s all they’d be doing. You’ll still have other felonies and misdemeanors going on that have to be addressed. Add on to that uncooperative bosses (Chiefs, Mayors and Governors) and it’ll be a nightmare.
I hear that Trump is now giving Daca amnesty
You hear what you want to hear as usual.
President Trump is not giving DACA amnesty.
___
He’ll trade it for the wall and an end to chain migration and visa lottery. He’s a deal maker not a conservative purist.
Well you’ve got to start somewhere - despite obvious difficulties, else just give up on the whole proposition of deportation (which once worked under Eisenhower) and allow all who get in to stay. It just takes political will - something which largely seems to have disappeared since the early 60’s.
Only a fool would trust a politician. I don't know why, 'we' now trust one because they are in power.
2018 will be a bloodbath. 2006 redux.
