It’s going to be logistically difficult to deport 800,00 people. If these DACA kids are educated, successful or serving the military, let them stay. The ones that are leeching off the system, criminals or general miscreants, ship them out. However, they get legal status but not citizenship, unless they are serving or have served. As far as the parents go, ship them back and no chain migration and build the wall.
The gov’t is incapable of winnowing through 800,000 people with any accuracy.
I think that’s the realistic scenario. I don’t see a mass deportation either. Personally I want to see an immigration moratorium for twenty years. I’m not gonna blame this president if what you suggest occurs. He’s the first president since Eisenhower to do something about combating illegal immigration!

I’m good with a moratorium as well. I worked in Law Enforcement so I have an idea how the logistics would work, but you would have to do mass hiring at ICE and CBP to implement these deportations, also it would be put a strain on local and state LE agencies, if they were to assist on the initial roundup.

In my heart, I agree with you. Here’s the issue. The only way to make this happen, is to have massive hiring at the Federal, Local and State Law Enforcement level. These DACA kids are not going to self report for deportation, so you are going to have to go get them. That’s going to put a massive strain on local and state police agencies, because the Feds simply don’t have the manpower to make it happen. Deporting these folks would be a whole separate entity on top of trying to continue to do regular policing duties.

Daca should never been extended with a new phony deadline .

I agree. The problem is, you have to get them to the buses, trains, boats and planes.
The actual deadline for DACA is 5 March. We know there is going to be a compromise, it’s just a matter of how much of what he wants Trump gets, and what he gives the Dems on return. If he gives the Dems DACA on a case by case basis, in return for: the wall, a end to chain migration and anchor babies and an end to the visa lottery, i’m good with that.
Grab them up, wire tie hands take to out bound transportation. One they see it is serious, they will begin to self-deport rapidly rather than lose face/be humiliated/etc.
