Overnight, Imamu Baraka was walking past a Baltimore hospital when he noticed something he says he'll never forget.
The hospital's security guards had just wheeled a patient to a bus stop, and in the freezing temperatures they left her there. The only thing she had on was a hospital gown.
"It's about 30 degrees out here right now," Baraka says in a recording of the encounter. "Are you OK, ma'am? Do you need me to call the police?" he asks.

Dumping? Hey thousands do that every day on the sidewalks of Calcutta.
That must be some hospital. In our area you would lose your Medicare funding for pulling crap like that.
The poor lady probably had Obamacare insurance.
but...but...obamacare
That’s horrible. I wouldn’t live in Baltimore if you paid me - hell, I wouldn’t even VISIT the place.
I love the response from the hospital.
Typical bureaucratic CYA BS.
Something tells me hospital personnel were told to discharge that lady. They can’t be that stupid.
Remember this?

Michelle Obama’s Patient-Dumping Scheme
By David Catron
The First Lady helped create a notorious program that dumped poor patients on community hospitals, yet the national media ignore the story. Imagine if her husband were a Republican.

True story.
I was recently in the ER of my local hospital for acute kidney stone pain. There I was with an IV just starting to drip in the meds and here come a cute person with a cart whom I assume is going to further attend to me in my pain and discomfort.
Nope.
The machine she has wheeled in is a credit card machine. She wants me to pay my co-pay - like now. Oh, she was polite enough, but here I am lying in a hospital bed and they made darn sure they were going to get their co-pay.
Needless to say, that was an eye-opener. Geez, the next time could you wait an hour until I’m discharged at which time I’ll be happy to pay up?
Which is why they dumped her on the street.
Hospitals have been losing billions since Obamacare passed and if they can still stay open they’ve been slashing staff.
Where I live, all you have to do is have brown skin and speak Spanish. Then they treat you like a VIP.
I had no credit card on me the last time I was in the ER-———no one mentioned payment, though.
.
I was in the ER for kidney stones a year or two ago.
Half doped up and miserable in a bay, here comes someone with a CC reader.
No matter what time of the night you go to the ER or how long you have to wait, you can be sure the lady from the business office will find you promptly.
It seems to be the way of what’s to come.
So if we had universal healthcare would this happen more or less ?
I say more...
“...The machine she has wheeled in is a credit card machine. She wants me to pay my co-pay - like now.....”
I totally believe ya. 2 years ago, I ended up in the hospital with pneumonia.
They no more got the medicine drip going and here comes a lady from the billing department wanting my co-pay. I was too sick to care at the moment and fortunately, my wife happen to walk in and took care of whatever she was wanting.
But yeah, all they care about these days is the $$$$.
The University of Maryland Medical Center.
State funded and they still dump patients at bus stops.
I broke my femur two years ago. It’s a good thing I got some care in the ambulance, who at least waited for me to get to the hospital to get my signature. Nothing much was done for me in the ER until the billing department got their swipe. Pretty much the same thing when they thought I was having a heart attack.
Hospitals have been losing billions since Obamacare passed and if they can still stay open theyve been slashing staff.
Not around my area of Florida. Hospitals are thriving and building one new Saddam palace after another.
