By a single vote, New Hampshire permits teens not to want to be gay

A recent trend in many states is to outlaw "conversion therapy," where people who are unhappy with homosexual inclinations go through therapy to dispense with those inclinations.  Even though the process is voluntary, liberal states cannot tolerate the idea of someone with same-sex attractions wanting help to get rid of them.

In the U.S., state governments are beginning to outlaw conversion therapy in growing numbers.  California became the first to do so in 2012.  Eight other states have banned it in some form since.  In 2017 alone, Nevada, New Mexico, and Connecticut have signed their own bans into law.

Now New Hampshire, by a single vote, has failed to pass a bill that would have prevented teenagers with homosexual tendencies from getting therapy to get rid of those tendencies.

The bills sought to prohibit counselors from proposing or engaging in treatments to change a minor's sexual orientation or gender identity [sic].  The House bill was defeated by one vote, 166-165, after House [s]peaker Gene Chandler, a Republican, broke a tie.  The Senate version of the bill, which the House was voting on as well, was also narrowly defeated, 170-169, with Mr. Chandler's vote.

Opponents said the bill could have prevented minors from discussing "unwanted" same-sex attraction with a qualified counselor.

"Now, I would be against coercive therapy, but what about those who want help from a professional?" Representative Mark Pearson, a Republican, said while addressing lawmakers on Tuesday ahead of the vote.

The bill is "unnecessary at best," he added, "and quite possibly harmful to youngsters [who] want an honest conversation."

It's interesting that liberals want children to be able to take dangerous hormones and to mutilate their bodies

Male homosexuality is a short ticket to death and misery
Female homosexuality is generally a temporary and trendy thing or it’s reserved for the older women who never really had a chance with a man
The two are totally and completely different just as men and women are

My daughters hung around quite a few homosexual women in their late teens. I also have a homosexual cousin. All except one look like your typical “bull dyke”. It’s kinda sad, actually. Many of them, even HWP just don’t look “feminine” regarding their body shape.

Maine couldn’t even pass legislation to ban female mutilation of little girls.

So liberals will scream bloody murder (heh) if a state dares to outlaw abortion, but champions a state’s right to outlaw therapy for unwanted homosexual tendencies?

Whatever happened to “my body, my choice”?

I don’t know a lot about this subject, but I’ve always thought that homosexuality is not as much a physical, sexual attraction initially as it is a psychological or emotional attraction. An out-of-balance emotional attraction might be the precursor for a physical attraction. Just my naive and out-dated thinking, FWIW.

AKA Help Me Not bill

Plus Democrats try to run Elderly Care & schools becoming a disaster at everything they touch.

They want to put Muslims in charge of the elderly who will ignore and neglect all who are not Muslim, just short of stabbing you.

You are right for even God treats them differential, same eternal ending but easier for a woman to be Born Again and give up that life style than for a homosexual man.

So if you’re molested and left with same sex attraction due to the “IMPRINTING”, you aren’t allowed to change it because liberals say THAT is genetic, set in stone.
But everything else including gender identity is utterly fluid about people.

Well of course. Nothing can stop him. He’s the Duke of Earl.

Many Christian churches provide free Christian counseling and this includes counseling for unwanted same sex attraction. Christian counseling does not have to be licensed by the state thus there is nothing the state can do about it.

I spent a lot of time in San Francisco and the medical community during the early 1980s.

Every single female was a lesbian because of a perceived or a real threat from men. They were afraid or distrustful of men and were attracted to women because of that feeling.

Every single male either wanted to control or to be controlled. And it was ALWAYS a power thing. Someone was always the catcher and someone was always the pitcher. And there were a lot of media and industry men who bought houses up and down Highway 101 and kept a harem of men and women in those places.

What a horrible time and place.

I’d like to see the honest statistics to see if it works. A story a few years ago showed a man went through it saying he was cured. Married had children and was caught in an adult store having gay sex. Ruined lives!!!!

Lesbian relationships experience the highest rate of partner violence. No safety there.

I grew up with one, spent my teens and 20’s with a bunch of them and still hang out with some. I even go on vacations with one who is in our group.

Their allies are the problem. They always want to “fix” them so they will be properly gay. If they aren’t flamboyant and ultra-liberal, they aren’t the right kind of gay.

I’m in a ministry group with an “ex-gay”. He’s always getting busted going after men. He’s in the bug house right now.

Thank God he is off the streets. I think these classes are dangerous. Not sure why the conservatives are so for them. Rather scary to believe such nonsense.
