A quick read of an article about the incident tells me that the cops shot the guy.

Whether he Swatted someone or didn’t, doesn’t really matter.

It seems that people are more worried about the guy, and his past, than why the cops shot an unarmed man, in his home, for no reason. Believe it or not, sometimes cops have to confront a “real, legitimate threat” before they can start blasting. Oh wait, I forgot, as long as they go home safe, at night, all is forgiven. Don’t worry about the unarmed, homeowner, in his own home, doing absolutely nothing wrong.

An alarming number of people (Freepers included) simply cannot grasp, nor believe that the cops are capable of murder or committing crimes. So when someone comes along and points out the rising numbers of murderous criminal cops, they begin to unspool...

Cognitive dissonance at work really...

Exactly. These were murders by the police regardless of the circumstances of the call. Let’s keep the focus on that.

I think it comes from a place of fear. I wonder if lots of people just think "We donate to the cops, give them kudos on social media, wave to them when we drive by, so they won't come to our house and kill us because we've earned some kind of special aura of protection. That stuff will only happen to other people".

I don't think it works that way. There is us (cops) and them (everyone else).

I’m still kinda curious why the cops murdered an entirely innocent and unarmed man as soon as he opened his door.

So where’s the name and photo of the cop(s) who murdered Andrew Finch?

I’m not sure how much difference that makes.
We have the name and picture of the cop
who killed the Australian visitor in
Minnesota. He refuses to talk, but no one seems to mind.

He wasn’t a “Kansas SWAT perpetrator.” He was a California SWAT perpetrator.
