A VERY STABLE GENIUS

A VERY STABLE GENIUS

President Trump is quick to tout his intelligence, his wealth, and his accomplishments. Today, he called himself a "very stable genius." At least half of America thinks he's an obnoxious blowhard, even crazy. I think there is a method to his madness.

Millions of American kids have been brainwashed by the public education system and modern culture to believe that their intelligence and accomplishments, like those of their parents, are a function of "privilege." Something to be ashamed of. Diligence and motivation have nothing at all to do with it. Students are now being tested across the country to determine their "privilege awareness."

President Trump is taking on Political Correctness in subtle ways most social justice warriors are too blinded by hatred to consider. By openly and vocally expressing his pride in his own self-driven merits, President Trump is trying to send a strong message to today's youth---Don't be ashamed of your virtues. Virtue is the fruit of rational thought. Diligence and motivation are virtues. Do we want our kids to fail because some of their peers are failures? Are they to be ashamed of their accomplishments because others have none? Are they supposed to go through life with half their brains tied behind their backs because others are intellectually challenged?

Where would mankind be if it weren't for the productive---the brain-i-acs, the hard-working, the creative, the entrepreneurs, the competent, who seek only an honest return for their efforts and the freedom to pursue their goals? In today's America and elsewhere, competence is an unforgiveable offense subject to merciless derision by cultural marxists in our public schools, colleges and universities, and the media. If it weren't for the competent, we'd all be hunter/gatherers living in stone-cold, fetid hovels.

There is work to be done, things to be invented, medical and scientific breakthroughs to be made. Are we to entrust our future to those who won't get out of bed, crack a book, or fill out a job application? To be sure, there are millions of poor and destitute, through no fault of their own, deserving of our help and compassion. We must find a way to differentiate between those who cannot work and those who will not work. Our current welfare system has failed to do this.

That said, we must never criticize or subject to systemic condemnation the hardworking, the ambitious, and the intellectually gifted. After all, our future is in their hands. They must be encouraged to reach for the stars and play every game like it's the seventh game of the World Series. Indeed, all of our children must be inspired to succeed to the extent of their abilities, and taught that failure is a life-lesson.

President Trump is right to take on this toxic mindset and warped value-system.

About a week ago I met a guy with a 180 IQ. He was proud of it and his many many significant accomplishments.

He said a teacher told him early on that he had an 180 IQ and the teacher said he felt sorry for him because he would have a miserable life having to deal with all the stupidity he’d encounter.

We all had a good laugh over this - at our own expense I suppose. It is a gift and fortunately he has used it for good.

I admire Trump for his self discipline.

It would have been all too easy for him to counter with a Brooklyn-like retort of, “Youse want crazy,....I’ve got your crazy for youse,...crazy this mutha...”

How inspirational of the teacher. LOL

There’s intellect and then there is common sense. A healthy balance of both is the ideal.

My three boys are all geniuses, and they grew up hearing it means nothing without hard work. Too much comes easy if you’re too smart and it creates bad habits. Edison got it right: 90% perspiration.

I knew a guy that had a photographic memory. He worked as a meter reader for the gas company. He would walk up to apartment buildings and look at their meters and go back to the truck and mark them down. Seems like a waste of talent to me. But it was his choice.

What are your boys doing with their intellect?

The man I met invented the coating that makes the stealth invisible to radar. He has a wall covered with framed patents for various things. I understand he turned the laundry room in his current house into a lab although we didn’t get see it. We were only able to spend a couple of hours with him but intend to go back.

Read that when I was a young adult. Good rule to live by, especially when it’s necessary.

Geez ...haven't posted here in forever but what the hell..

What kind of genius says/tweets such an idiot statement...

And for all you fellow geniuses wishing I didn’t to bother to respond, don't worry it will hopefully be years before I see something so stupid as to motivate me to post again...

The very interesting thing was watching him live from Camp David today and juxtaposing what the media was reporting with his actual demeanor and words.

Trump the man bears very little resemblance to Trump the media whipping boy.

Nice thing about Trump’s win is that it shut your mouth for the past year.

That is very strange but maybe a photographic memory doesn’t necessarily relate to a huge intelligence.

The half of America that thinks he’s crazy frequently thinks gender identity confusion isn’t.

He would have been happy if Hillary was president...being the principled conservative and all.

I can’t imagine having to raise 3 geniuses! How would you ever win an argument? Had that problem with my son and he’s very smart but don’t think he’s a genius.

I figured that if my son could come up with a good reason for something that I had to consider it. “Because I said so” didn’t work all that well. :-)

Ummmm ....as I posted above...the 180 IQ guy I met wasn’t hiding the fact that’s he’s a genius either. Does Bill Gates pretend he’s stupid?

Maybe the best backhanded compliment the teacher knew. Context matters. Was it clear it was a joke?

Moral relativism would not fly here. Faith actually would. Brilliance clothed in sound faith is great wisdom.

At some point don’t you admit to yourself you were were wrong and move on?

Guess not.
