The parliament speaker of Iraq's semi-autonomous region of Kurdistan declared resignation on Tuesday, protesting the deterioration of political and economic situation in the region and the use of force against anti-government demonstrations.
"I officially announce my resignation from the post of Parliament Speaker, and will continue my work in the parliament within the opposition group," Speaker Yousif Mohammed from the Gorran Movement said at a press conference in the city of Sulaimaniyah in northeastern Iraq.
Mohammed accused the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) of using force to suppress the demonstrations that erupted in the Kurdish region amid widespread anger over unpaid salaries and corruption.

When Obama pulled US forces out of Iraq it was a disaster for all. Iran has control of the government in Baghdad and Baghdad is not responsive to US influence.
Should not be this way, but it is.
If you look at a map of what is who controls the territory (not in this article), it is clear what the intent of Iran is. Iranian path through Iraq/Syria to Lebanon.
Only force will stop this.

He is incapable of doing anything forceful. Only dictatorial.

He is to be totally forgotten. There is nothing useful to be discovered examining any of his life’s accomplishments.
We should only examine his crimes. Those must be exposed and shown to all.
It was southern kurds who went too far. They shouldn’t have taken any action to seek independence.
Obama was a stupid trouble maker, but his liberal brownshirts can always blame all of hard shit on Bushes.
The Syrian Kurds are the best in the region. They are not like US, but we don’t live in the Middle East.
Do they have issues? We all do. But if you look at what followed them in areas they liberated from ISIS, they should be totally respected.
I don’t share their Leftist views, but remember the Israeli’s had Kibbutz’s in the beginning.
They did not act to seek independence.
They had a referendum about support of independence. It was probably had some voter fraud, but it was clear they wanted their own nation.
But when Israel and SA said they would recognize them, Iran and Turkey blew a head gasket that brought about this mess.
This is about Iran’s and Turkey’s ambitions. And continued subjection of the citizens of several nations. We either stop it with force or not. Nothing else will stop it.
When Iran makes its move, will we back all the Kurds in their way? (boy was I tempted to type curds and whey)

Well how that is seen in the eyes of the Kurdish people I do not know....but it would indicate he has run away.
