A Texas man was sentenced to 52 years in prison on Friday after he admitted to decapitating his wife in front of her children.
David Dauzat, 24, pleaded guilty to the 2016 death of his wife, Natasha Dauzet, 21, who was found with dozens of stab wounds. Dauzat agreed to the plea deal after Natasha’s family requested it to prevent the children from reliving the horrifying incident if the case went to trial, KWTX reported.
“They didn’t want to put the children through a trial and have them relive those memories,” McLennan County Assistant District Attorney Michael Jarrett said.

“he didn’t kill the children, he killed their mother”
He beheads the mother before her children’s eyes, it’s just like he killed the children. Their psyche is destroyed and the harm done is irreparable.
The fact that this animal was not sentenced to death signals how sick our societies have become.

If we don’t have the balls to execute him, it is despicable to turn the task over to other murderers in prison.

It says a plea deal in order not to subject the kids to a trial as witnesses.

The children were 1 and 2 years old. Since when are 1/2 year old babies involved in a courtroom scene?

They could and should have had a trial and the babies wouldn’t have to know a thing about it until they get older and read about it in old news. Guess what? The crime itself is still in the news.
WTF! He only gets 56 yrs for beheading his wife, but he could also be paroled in 26 years.

I agree. How horrific that he did it in front of this children and surely deserved a death sentence.
The government doesn’t have the balls to do it, and frankly they have already brought curses upon us all for their unwillingness to carry out the neccessary justice.

All too true. Government is supposed to mete out appropriate punishment, so that private citizens are not compelled to take it upon themselves.
But it, and any others on the list, only qualify as successes if their ultimate goal is self destruction.

Police found Dauzet with blood on his clothing at the trailer. Dauzet had beheaded his wife while the two children, ages 1 and 2, were in the trailer. He then placed her head in the freezer.
It doesn't say they were in the same room.
If this guy gets parole he could out in 27 years when he is in his early 50s. Incredible.
And all this because the State did not want to subject 1-2 year olds with a trial. Put the children in day care somewhere. Even if they were in the courtroom they would not know what is going on.
Now ... the kids will be in their late 20s when their “daddy” that beheaded their mommie is let out of prison. Yeah — that’s thinking of the children...
