If we don’t have the balls to execute him, it is despicable to turn the task over to other murderers in prison.

Those "other murderers" would just be the "executioners" in this instance. Our regular appointed executioners would be glad to get a break from their very dark jobs.

BTW, has anybody ever stopped to think about how state or federal executioners feel about their jobs, and how it affects them and their families? Can those people ever sleep well? Sure, some cases demand the death penalty, but, what about the people who are tasked with one of the most mind-bending and dehumanizing jobs in the world. In the middle-east, it may be "cultural" and people there think nothing of it, but, we are supposed to be a bit more civilized.

"Mueller came to the FBI during a difficult time for the bureau. The law-enforcement agency was undergoing some soul-searching after the 2001 arrest of FBI agent Robert Hanssen on espionage charges.

The bureau also had faced severe criticism for its handling of various other events, such as the 1993 Waco siege that resulted in more than 70 people dying.

Mueller declared at his confirmation hearings that he would “restore the public’s confidence in the FBI.""

That was actually the reason why the Nazis decided to build the gas chambers. Shooting was considered too inhumane, for the shooters. Gassing the Jews was the more "humane" solution.

The Middle East? Those people feel that killing people saves more lives.

Inmates in prison for crimes kill other inmates. Jeffrey Dahmer was killed in prison by another inmate who murdered someone for saying no to him getting a job.

I think gassing them was more about striking fear into the hearts of Jews than about being “humane”. After all, Hitler and the Nazis thought of Jews as being mere rats.

Zyklon B was originally used as rat poison.

No it’s true. Himmler actually lost his lunch viewing an execution, and determined right there that gassing was the way to go.

Having viewed it once would have remained ingrained in his brain, and would have evoked memories of the inhumanity of the practice. Whatever he used as the excuse for using gas to kill, was just that, an excuse. There was nothing humane about what he did or what methods he used, even if he farmed out the work to others.

With a sentence like that, he’ll probably be close to 35 years old before he gets out.

Of course not. I was just pointing out how the Nazis saw it, they were only thinking of themselves.

I AGREE!

“Those “other murderers” would just be the “executioners” in this instance.”

In the absence of a legal sentence, there is no executioner. If someone kills that man, it is murder. The state can *never* condone murder.

“we are supposed to be a bit more civilized.”

And yet you approve of men in state custody being murdered by other prisoners.

“I’m going with schizophrenia based on other reports.”

Drugs go hand in hand with schizophrenia in that drugs can make it severely worse, even one time use.

Why wasnt he given the death sentence ?

The article says "plea deal", so I take it he copped to the murder in exchange for the DA dropping that possible punishment.

>>He should be shot and quartered.<<

Heinous crimes such as this in which there is no doubt about the identity of the perp, should be processed through the court, the guilty verdict announced, and the death sentence carried out, all within a week.
