Will Roy Moore Win Because Of Gloria Allred?
newsweak ^ | 12/8/17 | JOHN HALTIWANGER

Posted on 12/09/2017 12:10:51 PM PST by MarvinStinson

One of the women accusing Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore of assaulting her as a teenager said on Friday she added the date and venue to an inscription from Moore in her high school yearbook, prompting attacks on her credibility and the competence of her lawyer, Gloria Allred. Many conservatives accused the attorney of mishandling the situation and claimed she'd essentially handed victory to Moore just four days before the election.

Beverly Young Nelson told ABC News she amended an inscription from Moore in her high school yearbook, adding the date and location. Nelson maintained the rest of the note was written by Moore, though he and his lawyers have repeatedly stated he did not sign the yearbook. The inscription states: "To a sweeter more beautiful girl I could not say Merry Christmas. Christmas 1977. Love, Roy Moore, DA. 12-22-77 Olde Hickory House."

In November, Nelson claimed Moore attempted to force her to perform a sex act when she was a teenager in the 1970s and he was the deputy district attorney of Etowah County and in his 30s. She offered the yearbook inscription as evidence to bolster her accusation. At the time, Nelson and her lawyer, Allred, said the inscription was written by Moore and did not mention that Nelson had added the date and location. But Nelson's acknowledgement she wrote part of the note somewhat contradicts that. Some have since claimed Nelson admitted she "forged" the inscription, but this is not the case.

Allred held a press conference on Friday and brought a report from forensic document expert that said the note and signature were written by Moore and said the date and location were written by Nelson to "remind herself who Roy Moore was." It was not clear from her comments when Nelson made those additions.

Bush was not a popular president and John Kerry started the race polling well. But then the SBVFT came charging in. They pulled the rug out from under Francois, and they never let up. Their attacks were decisive. [Note: this article was written by a liberal and downplays the Vets’ role.]

‘The most damaging ads attacking Kerry were made by Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. As a 527 organization, they relieved the Bush campaign of any responsibility for the ads and from having to justify or defend them.

The first Swift Boat ad opens with Kerry’s running mate, Senator John Edwards (NC), saying that the best way to understand Kerry is to “spend three minutes with the men who served with him.” The ad spliced together short interviews with veterans who accused Kerry of lying about his Vietnam War record and betraying his comrades by later opposing the war.

The ad appeared in only a few states, but its incendiary charges dominated election-news coverage where the ad was shown repeatedly. Senator Kerry’s campaign waited two weeks before showing an ad responding to the accusations. In that time, the attack stuck, casting doubts about Kerry’s heroism, integrity, and fitness to lead the fight against terrorism.’

Beverly sounds like she was one of girls you ride around town looking for after the good girls have gone home for the night.

Like. Surprisingly the SBVFT ads did not run in Massachusetts. The Dan Rather fiasco did. Dan Rather did a good job of roughing up Kerry with his exploding cigar.

The SBVFT ads didn’t have to run in every state to generate buzz and media air time. They were a sensation, and dominated the race repeatedly.

Anyway, Bush lost MA, and was always going to lose it. No need to run ads in a state that is a lost cause.

Probably also not a great idea to attack popular black politicians like Alcee Hastings and John Conyers for the same crap you are going after Moore for, then ask black voters to turn out for your white guy...

That’s right.

But Beverly Nelson didn’t know what it meant and simply copied it all.

She probably thought DA meant “district attorney”, as do the dopes of the MSM.

Well, now she has a different expert. Do we have the name, phone, address and CV of any of these experts?

This is the waitress at the restaurant that magically got a parking lot in back of it?

However we can get hung up on words here. She “altered” the document and to many this clasifies what she did as a forgery.

But she also is lying about when she did it. I hope we will eventually learn that the addition was not done until Allred explained that to be useful, the note would have to have elements that clearly implicated Roy Moore (simply the first name would not do) and would have to tie him to the restaurant and the date when she would be under age. (the added notes do this nicely but the “DA” confuses things until we learn that that is how Roy Moore’s assistant initialed off when she used a signature stamp. This stamp was used on the signature of the divorce settlement many years later. I doubt that Moore actually signed his name like the stamp back when he was 32.

And to think....just a few years ago we called the Republicans the Stupid Party.

They're not off the hook yet. Our brave and valiant Republican senators have made it their intention to launch ethics investigations against Moore the moment he arrives in Washington DC.

“The inscription means virtually nothing anyway. Other wise everyone signing yearbooks is guilty of raping them.”

Precisely. This yearbook debacle only proves Nelson is a liar.

Yes. What we do not know is how much of this is pre-meditated, and how much is false memories/ implanted memories.

Memories from 40 years ago are pretty fuzzy for most people. One event can be grafted on to another. One name can drift into another.

It is one of the reasons for a statute of limitations.

And all this is about a he said/ she said event where at most, two people were present.

The woman has had many problems, boyfriends and husbands.

Many, many memories to be confused with.

“I am officially announcing this afternoon I filed lawsuits against each of my false accusers for libel and or slander. And I will not settle, see you in court.”

This would be a smart move, squash any senate investigations while the cases wind their way through courts. Brilliant!
