IME Magazine named The Silence Breakers of the #MeToo movement the social media-born status symbol for sexual assault and harassment survivors as its 2017 Person of the Year, referencing President Donald Trump in its cover story more than a dozen times.
The #MeToo movement made waves in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein sex misconduct scandal as women spoke out in protest against sexual harassment in Hollywood, the media, and beyond.
The TIME cover story honoring the social media-driven moniker name-drops President Trump nine times and references him on several other occasions despite the fact that the allegations of harassment or misconduct against him were made public in 2016, not this year.

Another DISGUSTING travesty by the failing Time Magazine!!!!
10X PHOOEY!!!!
For about 98-percent of us...we don’t care. Time could go and name some fictional TV character man of the year and it wouldn’t really affect us or change our lives.
Given their history even then.
Every single issue references him out of context in every article.
Read em sometime. Time is trying to be the head of the pack when it comes to anti-liberty psyops.
So is it a coincidence that only after President Trump was inaugurated that women suddenly felt safe in speaking the truth? And, that truth is that most of the abuse suffered by women and children is at the hands of “liberal”, Democrat, socialist, globalist men.
If Obama and Clinton were so “pro women” so “feminist”, why did women remain silent about their abusers and even protect their abusers under those administrations?
Donald Trump should be referenced in that article, not in the way he was but as a major contributing factor as he ran on a law and order platform. And it is illegal in the USA to deprive another person of the right to their person.
I’m pretty sure that is one of the rights the Constitution enumerates as inalienable.
And all this time I thought it was Juanita Broderick and Paula Jones that started the metoo movement.
How does anything that happened in 2016 even get mentioned in an article about 2017?
And Time expects up to believe that their Man of the Year interview wasn’t going to be a setup hit piece.
I think the only prominent woman who hasn’t claimed MeToo is Hillary
“Another DISGUSTING travesty by the failing Time Magazine!!!!”
I find Time magazine not worth picking up but the exploding movement to expose sexual predators by, is a good thing for all of us.
I approve of their pick. The article they wrote might make me sick ... I don’t intend to read it.
What could possibly be the explanation for that?
Go over to DU and read some of the many threads on Al Franken. They're heartbroken. "I don't want to have anything to do with the #MeToo movement ever again!"
It is a signal to some hysterical out there who will gladly “come forward” and lie to dump Trump.
Time-Lies Magazine repeatedly violated my country.
#MeTooooo
Time magazine made Hitler their ‘Man of the Year’?
But Trump is just too wrong for them?
Tells you everything you need to know.
Time wanted exclusive time for a lengthy interview and photo shoot. Rush Limbaugh has been through it before with the media. Cooperation does not guaranty positive press or no photo manipulation. Time may very well have compared him to Hitler or Caligula on the cover of his MOTY issue.
I am amazed that even conservatives tend to think Trump said that he did those things that he did say could be done by rich and famous celebrities. What he said was true. What it is claimed he said is lies.Conservatives do not call out the left on that distinction. If I say that someone with my celebrity status could rob a liquor store and get away with it is NOT a statement admitting to robbing a liquor store.
It may be cold comfort, but at least Kaepernick got stiffed.
