Yep, the next target is Donald Trump. The coup continues apace.
I predict a Gloria Allred moment (hope for it, actually). I hope for Gloria Allred because as soon as she shows up most Americans instantly roll eyes. But somehow, the Mueller investigation will take up the incoming sexual assault/rape/etc. charges against Trump.
Correction. This is all kabuki theater. Franken will resign from a safe Dem seat. This will increase the volume for Moore to resign after his win next week and be cited as precedent to hold people accountable for their pre-senate behavior. This has nothing to do with genuine moral outrage, just politics.
I think Conyers and Franken are resigning so when Roy Moore gets elected, it will have set the precident and the left will say he should resign too. Otherwise, why didn’t the Dems fight harder for Franken and Conyers.
We know their resignation was not because of “moral” grounds because Clinton is still viable in the party, and he’s much more of a “harasser” than either Conyers or Franken.
