My former SIL and my grandkids had to evacuate at 2AM yesterday in Venture. They said the flames were just yards away. I saw a picture of a house that I recognized that’s a little over a block away from his that was completely inflamed.he went back last night and was pleasantly surprised his house was still there. My daughter lives on the other side of town and was ready to evacuate all day yesterday but fortunately didn’t have too. She said the smoke was really bad.
I’m down in Anaheim at the moment, you can even smell it in on the air. This is mental, not as windy as it was yesterday so hopefully they can contain this.
I hope the Getty Center is OK. The fire is across the 405 from it currently but that could change as we all know. It contains priceless art and artifacts that cannot be replaced. Let's hope they can save people's homes as well!
KTLA reporter estimates 150 homes have been destroyed with count expected to increase in Ventura County.
You can smell the smoke pretty bad here on the Westside. My uncle lives in Brentwood but Bundy Dr is not affected

California has sanctuary cities, they just pardoned an illegal murderer, hollywood’s corruption, and being Trump haters.. this fire going so far with the strong winds and the destruction.. other fires they’ve had this year.. is there such a thing as setting ourselves up for destruction and God allowing it?

And are we all held responsible for acts that are bad acts.. or are we held responsible for sitting on our duffs and not doing anything for good when it calls? A community that does not act for the good.. are we held responsible?
