His former campaign chairman, two other campaign aides, and his former national security advisers have now all been charged with felonies.
In one of the conversations described in court documents, the men discussed an upcoming United Nations Security Council vote on whether to condemn Israel’s building of settlements. At the time, the Obama administration was preparing to allow a Security Council vote on the matter.
Mr. Mueller’s investigators have learned through witnesses and documents that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel asked the Trump transition team to lobby other countries to help Israel, according to two people briefed on the inquiry. Investigators have learned that Mr. Flynn and Mr. Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, took the lead in those efforts. Mr. Mueller’s team has emails that show Mr. Flynn saying he would work to kill the vote, the people briefed on the matter said.
In the other discussion, according to court documents, Mr. Flynn asked Mr. Kislyak that Moscow refrain from escalating the situation in response to sanctions announced by the Obama administration that day against Russia over its interference in the presidential election. And Mr. Kislyak told Mr. Flynn that Russia “had chosen to moderate its response,” the documents said.

Vascular Solutions said it spent $25 million building its defense, but ultimately chose not to call any of the 20 witnesses it had lined up.
The case is likely to draw industry scrutiny in part because of the trial judge’s instruction to the jury that declared unequivocally that it is not a crime for a device company to provide doctors with truthful, non-misleading information about unapproved product uses. That’s contrary to long-standing FDA legal theory about “off-label” promotion of devices and pharmaceuticals.
“Drug and device companies are following developments in this area very closely, and they will certainly welcome this,” Minneapolis health care defense attorney Tom Beimers said.
A spokesman for the U.S. attorney’s office in western Texas didn’t respond to requests for comment Friday. Root accused government officials of malicious behavior in bringing the case against him.
Vascular Solutions is a 550-employee company that generated $127 million in revenue in 2014 from sales of catheters, hemostat products and vein products and services. Those include the Vari-Lase line of devices, which use laser energy to treat varicose veins.
The timing is important. This occurred late in December 2016, more than a month after Trump had beaten Hillary. You cannot possibly collude with the Russians in December on an election that occurred in November, unless someone has a time machine.

It's legal to reach out to foreign governments ... Trump was between 'being elected' and 'taking office'.
If FBI agents asked Flynn if he had used ketchup on his french fries and he said "no" when in fact he had - it would be a 'lie' - - but a lie about nothing... the use or non-use of ketchup is perfectly legal.
Is the FBI's so vile they don't know the difference between lying about 'nothing' and lying about 30,000 leaked emails - many holding classified information?
