Zoar Lutheran Church on Lake Superiors North Shore received its first threatening note Oct. 3. The second came soon after. The third note was posted to the church sign a few weeks ago.
According to Chief Deputy Will Sandstrom, the case is still under investigation.
We have taken some of our items and are having them analyzed by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, he said.
Sandstrom said one note was handwritten and two were typed. All of the notes were left on the property at some point. Neither the Rev. Daren Blanck nor the sheriffs office would elaborate on what the notes said.

Boils down to either Antifa or Islam
Whatever it is, it is likely very local. Not much going on in Tofte except some drive-through tourism. Very small place.
Or a radical atheist like in Texas.
They are ECLA Lutheran and many of those are New Age. So it might be a confused parishioner.
Just post a parishioner in the belfry with a rifle.
DEPORT ISLAM Retroactivly.
“Locking doors during service ought to be SOP for any church.”
Yup.
Jesus Himself said, Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.
The church is full of sinners in need of a Savior. And those outside the walls of the church are no better. Bad people inside and out. In these times, it is prudent to protect churchgoers from harm, so that they may worship God in peace.
FWIW, this is what our church does:

We lock one set of doors during the service (portion of the building where the children are) and stand watch over the other which is just outside the sanctuary.
The church is talking about getting an emergency plan in place, but they are SLOW. One bossy person thinks the all the doors should be open all the time.
How can they be sure they’re not locking themselves in with the offender?
Bingo.
Windows won't stop bullets. Opening the doors after service as people are crowded together trying to be the first out gives the shooter a nice target to swoop in on.
So, they're locking people out of the house of God.
Yes, that's the light-in-the-loafers "lutherans".
I’d like to see a video clip, where a rag-head with an AK-47 enters the church service from the back, and screams “Allah snackbar!”.
Before he can squeeze off a round, every member of the congregation, including the Preach, turns, draws their CCW and fires, all hitting their mark.
Pretty sure theyve updated locks since then. Most buildings are required to have fail safe systems that let you out without a key when the door is locked but dont allow anyone in.

Be rooted in Christ!
Glory to the King of kings!
“Very small place.”

Famous for people whizzing past it on their way to Lutsen.
“The church is full of sinners in need of a Savior.”

Not trying to be snarky or sarcastic here - but isn’t the idea of church for people who have already have that need met, i.e. they’re already saved?
More likely an inside job.
