I don't live in Seattle but my commute to work sometimes has me walking through that city. During the Obama years the lobby of the Henry M. Jackson Federal Building at 915 2nd Ave in Seattle displayed the official portraits of Barack Hussein Obama and Joe Biden. These portraits were clearly visible from the street.
The portraits were taken down in January of this year but they have not been replaced with portraits of President Trump and Vice-president Pence. The space where the portraits hung have been left empty. Across the street from this building is a post office building where they have done the same thing.
I've been meaning to ask about this for some time and I'm curious if anyone else here has notice something similar in their local town or city.
I didn’t take any notice, but the next time I need stamps, I’ll look for the portraits at my local post office.
We’ve never had portraits of the Presidents in our post office.
Funny you should mention this. I was watching some show from 2009 and noticed a picture of obama hanging on a wall in one of the scenes and started wondering when we will see the picture of Trump in tv shows and movies or maybe I shouldn’t hold my breath expecting it.
Americans need to start visiting these offices with no pictures and start kicking some commie, government bureaucrat ass.
Flying into LAX from Asia there was always a picture of the President with a welcome message. Don’t know if Trump’s picture is there now.
Our local Social Security Office always had a picture of President obongo and a second picture of VP Crazy Uncle Joe. I had to sit in the waiting room looking at them on the wall. Last week I had to go into the Social Security Office and sure enough.... blank walls. The 2 nails that held the prior presidential pictures are still in the wall.
My experience too. I don’t think I’ve seen Presidential portraits in a PO in decades.
I recall reading recently that some embassies are not hanging 45’s photos on purpose.
It could also be that the Dept of Whatever is dragging their feet in getting these out to federal offices.
Either way, I’m not surprised the swamp still stinks.
To clarify, I believe this is an administrative building for the U.S. postal service not a post office open to the public to use. When walking by this building prior to 2017 I could see Obama’s portrait displayed on a wall through a window. The portrait has been taken down but President Trump is nowhere to be seen. It might be someone’s office, I’m not sure. I don’t recall ever seeing the president’s portrait being displayed at a public post office either.
I see the President’s portrait every day at work. The only blank spaces are reserved for positions he has not yet appointed.
What are the mandatory locations for posting portrait of the POTUS ?
I cant find a mandatory type list. If I have one I will be a pain in all the ones that dont butts.
Give me something to do this winter
From the look of it, the photo was taken AFTER Trump had the Oval Office renovated to get rid of 0bama's ugly yellow stripe wallpaper. Here's a comparison of 0bama's Oval Office and Trump's:
The renovation happened in August, so the photo shoot probably took place sometime in September or October. I guess it takes some time for the photos to be finalized, approved, printed and shipped around to the thousands of Federal offices around the country.
Two weeks ago, I took someone to the social security office where five years ago was displaying a hugh obama picture right by the front door.
No picture. None.
You might politely ask the clerks what those nails are there for...
Seattle might as well put up official portraits of Kim TheUngin.
As long as Bammy stays gone, H-> is in hiding, all’s well.
I certainly dont care and would be shocked if Trump does as long as the Obama and Biden portraits are down.
I have no idea. I imagine the portraits have to be displayed in a common area such as a lobby where they can be seen. The portraits at the Henry M. Jackson federal building were displayed above the entrance of the elevator lobby on the ground level. This building has lots of windows facing the street which made the portraits quite visible. I wish now I had taken a photo of this so I could do a comparison.
This is best I can find so far online:https://thedignityvirus.files.wordpress.com/2015/08/img_3497.jpg
