HISTORY teachers are being told pupils need not study British kings and queens, but must learn about early Islamic civilisation, Mayan culture or of Benin in west Africa.
The Campaign for real education claims the new national curriculum for history makes the teaching of landmark events and personalities in British history non-statutory.
This means key moments such as the reign of Elizabeth I and the Battle of Waterloo do not have to be taught.
However, teaching about some foreign civilisations, including Ancient Greece, is compulsory.
CRE chairman Chris McGovern said: No landmark event in British history has to be taught. Magna Carta, the two world wars and Winston Churchill, for example, are included in the curriculum as non-statutory examples of what teachers could include. Previously teaching of the world wars was compulsory.
The Napoleonic wars, as opposed to the preceding French revolutionary wars, are not even included among the non-statutory examples.
Trafalgar, Waterloo, Nelson and Wellington are ignored. There is no requirement to teach about any specific British monarch, prime minister, act of parliament, battle or individual.
In contrast, certain topics are placed on prescribed lists, for example either early Islamic or Mayan civilisation or Benin must be taught..

The suicide of Western Civilization reaches its climax.
Winners of wars write the history books.
Britain apparently did not win this one.
For destruction of free will and creating an “unshakeable conviction that snow is black” in all children, you have to erase history, erase traditions and get children away from their biological mother and father so you can totally warp reality, destroy identity, destroy individualism, and insert an irrational, warped world. (That was the purpose of the Prussian system of mass indoctrination brought over by Horace Mann and John Dewey).
Those who control the words, myths and stories of the young child, will control their worldview for life (and all emotions). Without Classical Christian Education, philosophy and theology will die and with that death, minds will revert back to the paganism and satanism of the slave days of Babylon.
Teaching Islamic History as pervaded by Islamic ‘Scholars’ is mandatory. They are just peaceful travelers waving their own knives ...
England is dead. Autopsy will show the cause to be suicide.
The British public schools seem to be like our public schools. Modern Liberalism is a cancer in any society.
We have known for some time that the UK is willingly submitting to their new masters. We knew that when they ALLOWED a bunch of savages to sexually abuse girls. The UK gov knew it, and intentionally suppressed all news.
I give the UK 4.001 years before it’s officially muzzy and the St George Cross is gone from the flag. (When that happens, will it be a hate crime to fly the Union Jack? A: you know the answer, yes.)
The U.K. is gone
The U.K. as the U.K. is lost.
It’s political class is lock-stock-and-barrel elitist and of their own elitist social world divorced from the common person in the U.K. who is of U.K. ancestry.
In republics alone the government is entrusted to private citizens, and to survive, the republic must be loved. Everything therefore depends on establishing this love in a republic; to inspire this love is the principle business of education.
Sorry, that is why we need to start a new textbook publisher... Most of the American textbook publisher are owned by European publishers.
