Malia is a college freshman living her life - she is not a public figure, she has no role in government, she has never made any public statements of any kind that I’m aware of. If Barron Trump should be out-of-bounds (and he should be), then so should Obama’s kids.

Are Obama’s daughters more liberal than Bush’s daughers? I doubt it. But we can only guess, because Bush’s daughters are open and public with their liberalism. Obama’s daughters don’t make public statements that I know of. So everything else being equal, I like Obama’s daughters more than Bush’s.

1. I feel free to “trash” anyone, non-public or otherwise, if they’re behaving badly, smoking pot, or whatever. Do the right thing, and there’s no fodder for criticism. Easy.
