Companies today are strategizing about future investments and technologies such as artificial intelligence, the internet of things, or growth around new business models. While many of these trends will make for solid investments for the next 5-10 years, fewer companies are considering the revolutionary convergence of disparate trends pulled from technology, behavioral and societal changes, and medical advances to understand how they will converge to transform society. This transformation will be messy, complex, and sometimes scary, but signals already point to a future of humanity that will blur our identities into transhumanism.
A few of the trends that emerged from this study include the following seven trends. We hope they will spark discussion and innovation at your organizations.

End Times Ping..
Much sooner than 2030 IMHO.
Transhumanism?
Whatever. Global Warming was supposed to have killed us off by now.
So pardon me for not giving a care about Transhumanism. Now or in 2030.
Just another made up crisis.
Transhumanists always assume that humans can “progress” to a higher existence on their own. It is the same flawed thought that Humanists and Progressives share.
>>We will be more empathetic
>>We will see the emergence of extreme personalization and customisation
The latter is true and will prevent the former. The extreme personalization of everything reinforces the human depravity of thinking that the universe really does revolve around me (or you).
We will have transhumanism, but it will not be a utopia. It will be a means for those in control to be inside your head and the masses will have to accept that to be able to reap the benefits. Think of it as a EULA written by Satan for software you must use.
This is part of God’s plan.
I do not think we know exactly what part.
What are the seven trends?
You should care. It might not be a topic you’re well read up on. Most old crusty folks didn’t believe a thing called the internet was just around the corner in the late 1980’s that would enable people to instantaneously chat across the glob with a computer, but it happened.
This technology won’t even be an option. Opt out and you’re dead. Not a whole lot your guns can do against them either.

That’s the image you’ll be worshipping soon enough I see.
Yeh and we were all supposed to getting around in our flying cars by now too. LOL!
“Humanity” might change a great deal in the next thirteen years, and inhumanity too.
But this screed is feel-good bullshite.
“Empathy?” Gimme a break.
Repression, cruelty and evil are the bywords of the future.
The problem with humanism is that it assumes there is no spiritual nature. We are animals, nothing more.
We were supposed to have run out of food and oil decades ago.
I wonder if the song “Get ‘Em Out By Friday” by Genesis would have any relevance to this topic, lol?
Naysayers will be severely disappointed - it’s unstoppable at this point.
Get ‘Em Out By Friday ends in 2012.
Life in 2030 will be cold, brutal and short.
(in anticipation of the next ice age)
I predict we will see many cyborg Muslims walking through the streets.

I agree. Even Ray Kurzweil is no longer optimistic that it will be a good thing. He’s always been cautiously optimistic, but now he can see the trend of where tech and humanity are heading to a point where the “morality of now” will ruin us.
Being linked to one another on a grand scale in real-time doesn’t make us more aware of our humanity. It only makes us more aware of everyone else’s inhumanity. It teaches that activism is good, but action is for suckers. So, we become a people who demand that everyone else sacrifice for the greater good...and it has to be someone else because the rest of you are evil and I’m the only good person left who “cares”.
