Very sad, but also a timely moment to reconsider the radical political surgery that has recently been performed on the alleged “opioid crisis.”
Millions of Americans need and deserve the best painkillers.
Senator Rand Paul will have no problem obtaining the exact drug and the exact dose he wants to use.
However, thanks to the climate of legal fear that has suddenly been imposed on painkillers, many other persons who need them will not be so lucky.
Full Disclosure - I have only taken a painkiller once, Percodan, for one day, after hernia surgery, twenty years ago.
However, as I move steadily into old age, I want to retain my right to self-medicate when, or if, I need to.
When is the federal charge of assaulting a member of congress coming? That’s my question. Boucher needs to do at least 12 months in prison.
The article says words were never even exchanged between the two? Guy is just a total nutball. Why this was not a felony assault I don't get?
If it was a member of your family that was attacked would you take it sitting down? Let the cops and the legal system deal with it? Incidents like this puts food on their table. Whether they follow through and do their part is up to them. I’d wait for the right moment.

They gave me a shot of Demerol during my gall bladder attack. It killed the pain but almost killed me as well. The heart rate dropped to 40, and then my wife who was watching the monitor alerted the nurse. Be careful of all these strong medications.
