I wish more politicians would learn how to tweak the media like Trump does, She could have said:

I am absolutely going to vote for Roy Moore, earlier today I ordered the Attorney General of Alabama to Search all the Laws to see if we Can Criminally Charge Ms Allred and her Client, Seize the yearbook and have it examined and tested immediately to determine it’s authenticity. I also reached out to the US Attorney in Alabama for the possibility of Federal Charges when this Forgery is Proven.

There is a robust tradition of not prosecuting failed politicians for their politics, and no need to change this.

That Alred insists on a ‘congressional investigation’ before releasing the yearbook shows that it's nothing more than blackmail. Subpoena it now and hit the owner of the yearbook hard with obstruction of justice if she won't turn it over.

I don't know Moore from Adam, but I do know that for several centuries it was southern culture to marry young, and preferably to an older, settled man. Women were expected to 'marry up' to improve the social status in town of herself and her family. And while "culture" is generally now only allowed to be celebrated within minority communities, southern culture is not city culture and 70's southern values were not urban 2020 yankee values. For instance, back in the late 60s-early70's the post-war trend of women in a role as primarily homemakers and mothers over career women still persisted. And in a certain hometown I'm familiar with, if a gal over 18 showed up in town wearing jeans with her hair down and unstyled, she was labeled a hussy, hippies were reddiapercommies and non-farm guys with long hair were loser sissies. We've come a long way in our thinking since then, obviously. Maybe not for the better?
