Cruz pulls support from Moore: Allegations merit ‘criminal prosecution’ if true

Sen. Ted Cruz on Monday withdrew his support from Alabama GOP Senate nominee Roy Moore, saying allegations of sexual misconduct should be looked at by prosecutors.

“As it stands, I can’t urge the people of Alabama to support a campaign in the face of these charges without serious, persuasive demonstration that the charges are not true,” the Texas Republican told reporters, according to a Texas Tribune reporter.

“Both last week and this week, there are serious charges of criminal conduct that if true, not only make him unfit to serve in the Senate but merit criminal prosecution,” he added.

Beverly Young Nelson has the yearbook entry to prove she had contact with him. Over the coming days I would like to see some good investigative reporting. Lets see Roy Moore's handwriting so we can compare it to the yearbook handwriting. She claims she told family members over the years, I would like to see a reporter interview the family members to see if they back her claims up. Has anyone turned up evidence that she was paid or coerced in any way to do this? Has anyone been able to find out if she lied about voting for Trump? Is she a registered Democrat? Has she donated to Hillary. Lots of things could be proved/unproved.

I think for her to give that press conference took a lot of guts. Let's remember, she is not some famous person used to all of this attention. She does not have a past of making scurrilous claims that I have read. The next couple days should have things come to light.

Broddrick Vs Clinton was basically she said he said, because perhaps she had no DNA evidence and at the time he was POTUS or a Governor, and she was not in any high status position. And she DID NOT WAIT 40 YEARS to accuse her attacker, unlike the Roy Moore accusers.

You are the one that has been disingenuous. None of the above things happened because of the allegations of Juanita Broddrick. Those things happened because of Monica Lewinsky and Paula Jones. And BTW, I absolutely believe Broddrick. That's the whole point of my post!! However, there was just as much evidence against Clinton as against Roy Moore and yet many on here readily believe Broddrick but not Beverly Nelson. I"m completely consistent as I believe both women.

Again, you are misrepresenting what I said. Then again, I think you do it on purpose. I point out the yearbook for the same reason she had it in the press conference. It's corroborating evidence that she knew Roy Moore all those years ago. That's all it was, that she had contact with him. The alleged crime was his attempted rape on her and you know it!!
