I know. But Tom was representative of the type of guy.
Forty some years ago, I was driving my hippie van on a one way street in town and stopped for red light. I just happened to look at car to my left, and saw a lone man in driver’s seat looking up at me. As soon as he saw that I was looking at him, he immediately leaned back and started masturbating. He kept looking at me as if to make sure I was watching him.
I am telling this story because of my reaction: I was petrified. My heart started beating and hands shaking. I was surprised at myself. I let him pass on and wrote down his license number in case he ever came after me.
It is amazing how scary it can be. I was protected by being in my van, yet I felt afraid. I have never felt such fear. How do you explain that?
That was so funny!! I love it when the Fred Armisen guy is 50 feet from the womans desk and timidly says hi, but gets the call to authorities anyway, and then Tom Brady comes up IN HIS UNDERWEAR and she gives him her number. After these last couple weeks, this is a much needed laugh!
“Something doesn’t make sense”
Agree completely. I thought the same thing about Clinton. A rich, famous, powerful man can get willing sex from fans and people who want something extremely easily. It is thrown at them, but it is dangerous for them. “Smart” would-be lechers with resources can select from what’s available and focus on the willing, sophisticated and discreet. When the powerful person instead, homes in on the weak and vulnerable rather than people roughly equal to him in what they can handle, it has to be because they actually want the power imbalance thing. They can command someone to do something that they know the other person doesn’t want to do, and get that submission. That’s the real high for them, I guess.
I know a guy who spent a couple of months working as a stagehand on a Hollywood film that was shot in Pittsburgh.
He turned-down an offer to move to Hollywood, join the union and do this full-time because in those few weeks he had determined that 80% of his co-workers were pedophiles and pervs.
Afraid? Really?
I guess that’s the difference in people and especially how women react to things. I would have laughed at him and drove on.
She replies, "It's like a penis, only smaller."
The poster didn’t say it from the perspective you elucidated
They said that it was inappropriate to women
Now two women are accusing James Woods of harassment because he tried to pick them up in a bar. I thought that’s why women went to bars. I would try to pick James Woods up in a bar. LOL!
It’s the recognition that a dangerous person is confronting you. A person who will leave all norms of public behavior aside is capable of various types of confrontational damage.
Usually these types like to create a reaction of alarm or revulsion — they thrive on it. After a while, they either quit or begin to want greater confrontation.
Your reaction is normal and reasonable and nothing to be concerned about. You life was not threatened, so its best not to shoot him, but some handgun training might make you feel a little more equipped to deal with such things in the future.
1. The arts attract Leftists and egomaniacs who have no morals.
2. Enormous amounts of deference are paid to the powerful and famous. They expect total license to do as they wish.
3. Hollywood is loaded with druggies and alcoholics. The party scene rules.
4. There are plenty of girls (and now, boys) who are either happy or resigned to go with the flow in order to be part of the scene.
5. Until very recently, if you didn't capitulate, you were out. Might as well go back to Iowa.
He was under the influence of aliens.
