US President Donald Trump and Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin have agreed to defeat the so-called Islamic State (IS) in Syria, the Kremlin says.
It said a statement was prepared by experts after they met briefly on the sidelines of an Asia-Pacific summit in Vietnam on Saturday.
In total the two leaders had three encounters within 24 hours at the summit in port city of Da Nang.
There has been no official confirmation from the US about the statement so far.
A meeting between President Trump and Vladimir Putin was widely expected at the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) summit, but few details have emerged......

“Do you get paid to kiss Putins butt, or do you do it on your own?”
You drinkin’ already?
I just asked what the accusations are.
It was the way you asked, as if you didn't think there was any truth to it.
Re: Putin on the other hand has committed damage that he nor his successor will be able to reverse.
Well, what?
“It was the way you asked, as if you didn’t think there was any truth to it.”
I’m sorry if I gave that impression. I intended only to ask which of his actions couldn’t be corrected by Putin or his successor.
Forgive me then. With all of the bonafide Putinistas on our site, it sometimes gets confusing. Pity we even need to bother with these creeps. They shouldn’t even be here.
“With all of the bonafide Putinistas on our site”
I hadn’t noticed, but I am far too salty an old cold warrior to take a former KGB torturer at face value.
In other words, nothing new is happening.
I’m just looking for a list.
Do you have one of Putin loving trolls?
Globalists like McCain who hate Trump’s America First MAGA agenda also hate Russia.
A list of what? People who expose Putin for what he really is?
Do you have one of Putin loving trolls?
I do, somewhere. Not updated, though.
Kirill > Francis
They are also quick to jump on Roy Moore to keep him out of the Senate, but true prosperity is linked to peace IMHO. All the noise making about Russia is not in the best long term interests of the USA.
It may be in the short term interests of defense contractors and the Pentagon, McCain’s buddies.
You’ve got to have an “enemy” to justify spending taxpayers dollars.
But we quickly and gratefully went into peace time mode afterwards.
The war was a burden and a hardship on the people who wore uniforms, worked in factories etc.
WW 2 was a horrible event overall necessitated by the mistake of WW 1 and the harsh reparations imposed on Germany afterwards.
The timeline of our present reduced state goes back to the early 20th Century descent into war.
Someone didnt take their anti crazy pill today.
Thank you ETL for that info. You can go back to the Democratic Underground now.
Let me inform or remind our members of the truly sick-in-the-head place you are coming from...

Donald Trump slammed President Obama Thursday on TODAY for failing to take a stronger line against President Vladimir Putin in dealing with Ukraine, saying he feared Obama would now make up for lost time with imprudent moves to "show his manhood."
The real estate mogul and reality-TV star, who has criticized Putin for sending military troops into Crimea, said Obama must now take fierce steps to prevent the situation from escalating further.
"We should definitely do sanctions and we have to show some strengths. I mean, Putin has eaten Obama's lunch, therefore our lunch, for a long period of time," Trump said. ..."

President Trump called Russia a destabilizing influence in Europe and the Middle East, and urged it to join the community of responsible nations, in his strongest remarks yet against the regime of Vladimir Putin, whom he is scheduled to meet Friday in Hamburg for the first time.
His remarks in Warsaws Krasinski Square, which marks the 1944 Warsaw uprising against the Nazis, came after the U.S. agreed to sell Patriot missiles to Poland. The president also used the opportunity to reiterate the NATO commitment to mutual defense, a declaration he did not make during the NATO summit in May, prompting consternation among U.S. allies wary of Russias ambitions.
To those who would criticize our tough stance, I would point out that the United States has demonstratednot merely with its words but with its actionsthat we stand firmly behind Article 5, the mutual-defense commitment, Trump said Thursday. Words are easy, but actions are what matters. And for its own protection, Europe, and you know this, everybody knows this, everybody has to know this, Europe must do more.
Trump has repeatedly said NATO members must spend more on defensea position in line with past U.S. administrations. But he has been criticized because he appeared to suggest U.S. commitment to mutual defense was predicated on its allies defense spending. ...

Collusion! Hillary wouldn’t have had any dealings with Putin over this peace nonsense. What the world needs is more wars!
The f*ckfaces in the media are doing everything they can to imply that Trump and Putin are colluding. They have successfully suppressed all talk about hillary, uranium, and Russia.
