There was no statutory rape in the credible accounts. According to the law at the time, the 4th allegation was likely not illegal, just improper, particularly in the modern view.

It's good that there is a prior court ruling, but expect McConnell to try to get a new ruling overturning the 1969 one. At least he could use it to delay letting Moore take his seat.

In any case I think none of it is true, and hope Moore just persists with denial of all of the portions of all of the events. If he starts trying to justify he could be toast.
“If” he made moves on a 14 yo, it would be disgusting, but “if” is a mighty big word. I don’t believe it ever happened and that’s from following this man and his career very closely for many years.
