Current is the house newsletter for "public media".
Using ugly and unusual examples that rarely happen, the reporter conflates White Nationalist with "Trump Supporters" and brands them as one and the same.

Martinelli, 29, came to the U.S. from Argentina 20 years ago and was undocumented for most of her life. Undocumented for most of her life, i.e. illegal? And she winds up working for NPR? Only in America!

To: Drango
Does this reporter really qualify as a "person of color"? Like a lot of Argentinians,
she looks as white as you and me, with red hair, hazel eyes, Italian surname and obvious European ancestry. If folks on the right are calling her a cockroach, it's a lot safer to assume that it's because she is a news-media cockroach rather than because they telepathically determined that her ancestors stopped for a hundred years in South America on their way here from Italy.

Could somebody introduce her to the white woman who got knocked unconscious by that ghetto trash a couple of weeks ago?
This reporter needs to be reminded that this thing works both ways.

“Journalists of color.”
Well La-Di-Da!
How pretentious does that sound?
No lowly colored journalists here.
No black or brown journalists here.
But “Journalists Of Color”? - Hell yeah!

Wow - she is completely confused about herself. She admits to being illegal - breaking laws being here - but refusing to go back to Argentina.
Then, she claims to be a person of color????? She is of European descent just like most Argentineans. Drop her anywhere there are people of European descent and you could not pick her out.
Whole article sounds fake including the author.

Then you’re a white nationalist

Al Letson was born in 1972. He makes it sound like Florida was still segregated then. I spent a fair amount of time in Florida during the early 1970s. Did not see any overt racism, but I am not a Black Poet.

Gus Contreras, a digital producer and reporter with KERA in Dallas, Texas, is a first-generation American from El Paso. In his hometown, 82 percent of the population is Hispanic or Latino, according to 2016 U.S. Census figures. Covering Trump rallies in North Texas where attendees yelled at him and other Latinos to go back home was shocking, Contreras said. A woman asked whether he is an anchor baby because a lot of people take advantage of the system, Contreras said. I was kind of mad after, but I just put it to the side and went on to the other interview, he said.
... But Contreras, whose father was deported to Mexico in 2015,
He IS an anchor baby!
