Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has threatened to sue the National Football League if a contract extension for commissioner Roger Goodell is approved by the league's compensation committee, sources told Outside the Lines.
A team owner and a team executive told Outside the Lines that Jones has hired David Boies, the famed New York lawyer who represented Vice President Al Gore in the deadlocked 2000 presidential election -- and who led the NFL's court case during a dispute over the 2011 collective bargaining agreement negotiations. More recently, Boies defended Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein against sexual assault allegations.
Jerry does not his cash cow to die.

I agree with Jerry on this. Roger has not been good for the NFL. However I am still not watching.

Jerry needs to be careful about Boies. The New York Slimes had Boies as counsel and discovered he was acting against their interest on behalf of Harvey Weinstein by getting stories spiked. The Slimes may cause Boies to lose his license to steal...I mean “practice law.”
I’m a little confused by Jerry’s suit threat. Is he suing himself (as an owner)?
I think the Commish works at the pleasure of the owners, not the other way around.
I do suspect the reality in today’s NFL climate, however, the Commish and owners work at the pleasure of the NFLPA.
Roger Goodell is a no brained Union Flukey with no prior experience for the job he attained.

Goodell is a brain dead leftist that screws up wet dreams. With no competition and the TV networks fighting for rights of coverage at any cost, only Roger would manage to toss a turd in the punch bowl with the way he has handled Kap and many of the disciplinary penalties. Jones knows that if the league losses it’s protection from Congress and is forced to pay taxes and foot the bill for new stadiums, the entire show goes bankrupt.
