Jerry needs to be careful about Boies. The New York Slimes had Boies as counsel and discovered he was acting against their interest on behalf of Harvey Weinstein by getting stories spiked. The Slimes may cause Boies to lose his license to steal...I mean “practice law.”

I think the Commish works at the pleasure of the owners, not the other way around.
I do suspect the reality in today’s NFL climate, however, the Commish and owners work at the pleasure of the NFLPA.
Goodell is a brain dead leftist that screws up wet dreams. With no competition and the TV networks fighting for rights of coverage at any cost, only Roger would manage to toss a turd in the punch bowl with the way he has handled Kap and many of the disciplinary penalties. Jones knows that if the league losses it’s protection from Congress and is forced to pay taxes and foot the bill for new stadiums, the entire show goes bankrupt.

Regardless of his reasons, Goodell has been the worst commissioner of any major sport ever. One stupid move after another. Disastrous PR over and over and over based on his stupid decisions. Bob Costas warns future of football is bleak because sport ‘destroys people’s brains’
From his perch hosting Thursday Night Football, veteran sportscaster Bob Costas has a unique perspective from which to diagnose the health of the NFL — and he says the future looks bleak.
Costas, speaking at the University of Maryland on Tuesday, said the one-time “cash machine” sport was suffering after multiple investigations into former players who’ve experienced serious health issues, USA Today reported.
“The reality is that this game destroys people’s brains,” Costas said. “Not everyone, but a substantial number. That’s the fundamental fact of football, and that to me is the biggest story in American sports.”
Costas was referring to chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a brain disease linked with repeated head trauma that has become a concern for many athletes, but mostly those playing in the NFL. The disease can impact the brain’s frontal region which controls a person’s judgment, emotion, impulse, control, social behavior and memory.
In a July report, researchers studying the brains of 202 former football players discovered traces of CTE in nearly all of them, The Associated Press reported.
