Geez. Looks like me and Charlie think alike. Nice complement so "thank you" fits. Our apologies to those that can't live up to that brand. Sorry you didn't make the grade. Of course based on current writings by urinalists, since Mr. Daniels denied it had anything to do with far right extremists or white supremacy, she probably took that as affirmation that was exactly what it was about. Oh yeah. I almost forgot. Never call a “redneck” a hillbilly and never call a “hillbilly” a redneck. Rules of the road.

CAROLINA UPRISING
***sounded like something concerning the Civil War. ***
Wasn’t the Carolinas the first provinces to rebel against Britain back in 1770? The Regulator War, it failed.

The way this Yankee sees it...
There’s an awful lot of Rednecks and Hillbillies buried at Arlington, laid to rest under Old Glory.
That makes either appellation honorable enough for me... I’d be proud to be called either one.
They’re all Americans, and therefor they’re my People.

Says Charlie:
And for all you people who have and will call me a hillbilly and a redneck, I have two words:
THANK YOU!!!
Says me:
Me too!!!
I descend from hardworking dirt farmers who all sported red necks at one time or the other... Not so sure I can claim hillbilly since they were not mountain folks...
I do not consider the terms an insult and would much rather qualify for them before being called a metro-sexual or New Yarker......

I’ve done work for Charlie and sat in his office just talking about things which had nothing to do with the work I was doing. He’s a genuine guy and a smart man. Kind and courteous in every way.

I always heard that red necks started showing up when farmers stopped wearing wide-brimmed hats that shade the back of your neck. I don’t know when the “ball cap” became the thing to wear, but I think it would be better to have some protection back there.
