The World Series has been pushed later and later into autumn as the playoffs have expanded. I’ve been concerned in past years about bad baseball weather this time of year in most cities.

This year, Dodgers and Houston, and a triple digit heat wave hitting southern California, no concerns about weather this year.

Temperature scheduled to be the same as one or the other team’s regular season record.

If you do not desire to discuss this small bit of American culture you are free not to, if you wish to say nasty things about something you do not care about, feel free this is a great forum for such.

I hate California and everything it stands for.I have a hatred for the Dodgers that's even greater than my hatred of the Yankees.

Let's go,Astros! Let's watch them bleed Dodger blue (as Lasorda once said)!

I have a hatred for the Dodgers - my favorite Dodger joke, asked of Brooklyn residents in 1958 -

If you had Hitler, Tojo, and O’Malley in a room and a gun with two bullets who would you shoot?

O’Malley, twice.

Grew up a Dodgers fan. Listened to Skully on the back porch with my grandpa. Went to games with my uncles. Ran for the paper each morning to check the standings.

Lost interest after the strike, then reemerged as a Cardinals fan.

Been to Dodger stadium a few times since. Fans show up late, leave early and fight during the time in between. I loathe them.

My uncle died this year. Rooting for the Dodgers one last time would be a good tribute.

But, I don't know if I can do it.

Really not sure who is going to win. But I do predict a short - five games - series.

One year they'll be playing in Minnesota or Colorado in the snow.

Somebody in my office, not a fan at all, said it should be the United States series since it’s just American teams, and how a true World Series would bring in pro teams from Japan and other countries.

The first “Worlds Series” was between Boston and Pittsburgh 570 miles. MSM was full of it back then too!

“Even bigger than a Eureka pizza”

I didn’t realize we had pizzas with such notoriety here in Humboldt county.

Your baseball journey is like mine. Grew up in LA area. My mom went to the first Dodger home game at the Coliseum, I saw Koufax strike out 18 Giants there in ‘59. Thought I would be a lifelong Dodger fan. Then moved to Missouri. Cardinal announcers were no match for Scully, but Dodger fans are no match for Cardinal fans!

It is 105 F in Huntington Beach at 3 PM.

Far outside normal weather. We often get a late season Santa Ana condition but 90 or 95, NOT 105.

By game time 5 PM in Lost Angeles, it may top 100 F.
