Nolte: Roger Goodell Fell for Mainstream Media’s Fake Reality and Destroyed NFL (Possibly Forever)
Breitbart ^ | 10/21/2017

Posted on 10/21/2017 1:02:37 PM PDT by Altura Ct.

When the first half of the 21st century is way back enough for a history to be written unencumbered by agenda, President Barack Obama will be remembered as the worst thing that ever happened to the Democrat Party. And to the NFL.*

If you think that is a stretch, hear me out… Thanks to George W. Bush’s terrible second term, two unbelievably awful Republican opponents in John McCain and Mitt Romney, not to mention the charisma and impressive political skills as the most leftwing senator in the country, Barry O won two national elections and did so by impressive margins.

The problem is that America’s so-called Smart People misread these victories. And by “Smart People,” I am, of course, sarcastically referring to Democrats, the imbecilic Republican establishment, and the corrupt national media — all of whom deluded themselves into believing that Obama’s victory meant that the country had not just moved to the left, but to the far left. Buoyed by this mistaken belief, not only did the Democrat Party move to the far-left (Warren, Bernie, Hillary 7.0, etc), so did the media. Over Obama’s eight years, among others, the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, and MSNBC believed they were capturing a zeitgeist by hiring tons of rabid leftwing propagandists, a freak show that includes Ana Navarro, Philip Bump, Jake Tapper, Chris Cillizza, Jemele Harris, Chris Cuomo, Al Sharpton, Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid… ESPN was so sure of this, it went from a rock n’ roll sports network to MSESPN.

What no one wanted to acknowledge, though, is that almost immediately after Obama’s 2009 inauguration, voters began a major course correction...Democrats just nine months later in the 2010 midterms– this should have told the so-called Smart People that Obama was an anomaly, not a trend.

I am not “Nobody” and I said enough in the seventies when Oakland and Pittsburgh ran their little hit squads for several years.

Over the decades I have seen more and more people admit that the thug culture supplanted the culture of sportsmanship at that time.

Wow. So what are all of those young black boys going to do now and in the future when professional football is dead. Nose, face, spite?

Sports offers career opportunities to a lot of kids. Opportunities to leave the ghettos and inner cities.

Oh well.

"Possibly the time is ripe for a new professional football league to compete against the NFL?"

How about these gals on Sunday Prime Time...

GM is another. Sorry. Can't help taking a jab at GM. We are an ex-GM customer who was treated very badly. We have a vendetta against GM and we will never forget.

Unfortunately, Obama bailed them out so I doubt that they have learned from their mistakes.

Anyway, we are cheering for the day when they close their doors.

The NFL is being destroyed because the majority of fans are finally coming to terms with the fact that the majority of players hate their guts.

Sadly, that appears to be true. Most of the NFL players (whom are black) absolutely hate white people and want to see them exterminated from the earth. Their hatred came to the surface with the recent anthem controversy.

I knew when Obama was elected that this would happen. Any white president thereafter would be an affront to (many) black people and that hatred of white people would be the result. This is the inevitable result of "identity politics" in which only the color of your skin, your gender or your sexual preference is important. And if you happen to be a white male who prefers women as sexual partners, you are in the worst possible position (with these people).

I think Monica Goodell has handled this uprising very well. Well you can stand if you want. I should stand if I want but if some one wants to kneel, I’ll kneel maybe with them but if them change their time and stand, then I will run in place. Is that clear now?

Oh by the way, ditch the stupid pink uniforms in October.

I am a fan just hate your product. reminds me that I was a Ford man, Mustangs, Pinto wagons and them in the 80’s my daughter wanted a Honda Civic. Bought her one, bought my wife one, I bought Accords and Civics. Never going back. You pompous jerk, the fans aren’t coming back.

I don’t think people really understand what is happening. The spate of wife and girlfriend beatings by NFL players and the players with concussions being publicized is forcing Goodell to create a distraction.

This distraction will kill th NFL and Goodell seems ok with it.

Well. The owners were also fooled. Or they would have fired Goodell.

I hope all the freepers who are not tuning in the NFL games anymore write a blue dart to one or more TV sponsors with a copy to Goodell at his headquarters.

Otherwise, you're just playing Dr. Feelgood with yourself, as no one will know or care that you're not watching if you don't have a polling meter in your home or are surveyed by phone (one in a billion chance....)

I hope someone will post that NFL sponsor list with the appropriate sponsor contact info that was on this board last week....it should be posted on every NFL thread.

What I don't get is why the owners are okay with it. Is there investment in their out-of-control players so prohibitive that they have to save as much of their investment as they can for now?

If they were actually in control anymore, nobody with a felony, drug, or domestic violence conviction would even be drafted. And once they got there, it would be a "no strikes" policy, and a handbook of rules would be strictly enforced.

It's not going to happen.

The whole point of all the black attacks on Trump is to turn out the black vote in 2018. Without it they are cooked.

You're doing the same thing by wasting time writing letters. They probably wipe their butts with your letters. I don't watch the NFL any more because I find it offensive. I'm not making a statement.

"You're wasting your time writing letters....they probably wipe their butt with them".

Not true....letters via the post office are the best vehicles to send complaints to a business or corporation. They are opened, and usually counted as to "pro" or "con" or whatever applies.

Phone calls and emails are less effective, however they, too, are counted and totals forwarded to management.

You have chosen not to make a statement to voice your displeasure with the NFL except to post about it to the echo chamber here...well, to each his own.

I wrote a brief, but strong letter to Ford as I own one of its products and mentioned that fact in the opening line.

Don't think for a moment that businesses and corporations have "customer service" departments for nothing....they are tuned in all the time to complaints, suggestions....and boycotts!

I've posted many times on this board that (unlike liberals) conservatives are, with a couple notable exceptions, generally lousy at boycotts....and your attitude is one of the several reasons why.

Goodell and Colin, thanks to you as BLM/NFL useless idiots, you woke Americans up to the NFL scam on our tvs and in our tax payer stadiums. Your contribution to Americans will be remembered, like 8 years of Obama and H. Clintoon's campaigning gave us President Trump!

NFL = NEW FAR LEFT!

More NFL teams renamed: Oakland Traitors, Baltimore Cravens, Buffalo Bolsheviks, Green Bay Pinkos, Washington Red Guards, Los Angeles Chekists, Jacksonville Jacobins.

The Dallas Cowgirl Pussies!

What are we, catatonic? Are we unable to create wonderful versions of what should be? Where are our rich and our resourceful? If we, the real heart of American people, would just get going and stop acting like we are all entrenched in the mud, what wonderful, wonderful things we could do. Again, what is keeping us so very impotent?

The owners won’t do anything because they don’t trust each other. If one or two owners got tough and benched or let go star malcontents then another owner or owners would gobble them up and dominate the league, win the Super Bowl, etc. Get in tough would only work if the all got tough independent of Goodell. Very short sighted of these tip-top business minds! Of course if Goodell had slapped Kapernick down immediately it wouldn’t have gotten out of hand.
