Leaving BSA was an easy decision. It was hard to do but the decision was absolutely right for my sons and the other boys I help lead.

The BSA move is about families rather than just girls.
There is a strong trend towards making BSA a family activity and allowing sisters to participate. Sisters are already on the sidelines and unofficial participants in many BSA activities.There are many many mothers who have assumed various troop leadership roles and participated on Woodbadge leadership training. There have been girls 14 and older part of the BSA program for many years.
If there are not sons only activity or groups or programs this is all just money making BS.
There is no need for the boy scouts if it continues on this SJW BS path.

this is not the boy scouts of youth, this is a betrayal. From earlier posts it appears other parents are voting with their money too and BSA has lost 50% of their income not to mention the lost support.

Liberals destroyed the Girl Scouts by actively discriminating against stay at home mothers as troop leaders (considered them bad role models), injecting far left politics from pro-abortion to fourth wave feminism to rabid environmentalism. So girls don’t go camping but petition about global warming, don’t do much volunteering to help the hungry but listen to Planned Parenthood talk about women’s empowerment at national events.
(Again, what could possibly go wrong?)

When my son and I went to Philmont Scout Ranch in 1995, we encountered one backpacking crew that was co-ed with the leader’s wife there for supervision of the girls. It’s possible to structure events so both sexes get benefit without compromising the entire experience. This will be especially critical for the Eagle award, IMO.
That’s a nice idea snookums. But history shows that step by step the left will gut the scouts. The damage isn’t done in done in a day and it’s well-meaning idoits who make excuses for the proccess every step of the way.

Sure, and there were just a few women involved in the Military 15 years ago. Today we have co-ed warships crashing merchant vessels because the male institution was destroyed.

We have watched their compass fluctuating from true north for quite a while and decided that it was time to leave.
There are many, many good men and boys in BSA at the troop level, however, the council and above levels are increasingly toxic.
I have a friend who was on our local council board of directors. He was not in favor of the 2013 decision to allow homosexual boys. Instead of rationally discussing it with him, the board kicked him off.
Now that was an emotional decision.
Those who can’t cope with the present are just doomed.
Being anti family is not a good thing
