A Las Vegas bellhop may have unwittingly helped Stephen Paddock carry his arsenal of weapons and ammunition up a freight elevator Paddock accessed through a special hotel perk and into the out-of-view 32nd-floor suite Paddock used to rain down mayhem on a country music concert crowd.
An unidentified hotel worker at least twice helped Paddock with his belongings, although authorities have yet to identify any abnormalities in the gunmans behavior after reviewing hotel security footage from the lead-up to the Oct. 1 attack, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Tuesday.
It wasn't immediately known what was contained in the luggage the bellhop assisted Paddock with, or if guns or ammunition used by Paddock during the rampage were inside.
The report emerged around the same time sources revealed to ABC News that Paddock received an unusual perk for being a high-roller: access to the Mandalay Bay Resorts massive service elevator, an advantage Paddock reportedly did take advantage of.
Officials briefed on the ongoing investigation told the station the perk is given to the casinos top players, but no information was available on when Paddock used the elevator or why he did so.
Meanwhile, MGM Resorts, the owners of Mandalay Bay, and Las Vegas police are at odds over how the deadliest shooting in U.S. modern history unfolded.

I figured as much......................
When I become a Vegas High Roller, I’m going to demand I be carried everywhere by Cabana Boys!
Oh, wait. That’s what I want when I move to Assisted Living. Never mind.
*SMIRK*
The stock was sold short, so it was a PLAN
to let him do this.
When will Soros and his vicious murderers
finally be arrested? Apparently many more
must die, first.
Clearly, we need Federal Elevator Control!
I know a guy who’s a serious movie cameraman. He says he routinely checks into hotel rooms with enough Pelican cases full of camera and related gear such that, re-purposed, you could put enough hardware inside to outfit an infantry platoon, no problem.
Never. No government has the spine to touch him, his sons, or anyone high up in his circle of associates. It is going to take a mercenary or individual(s) willing to sacrifice their life to spare this planet. I don't have my hopes up.
A friend of ours’ son-in-law is an employee of the Wynn resorts in Vegas. We just got back from a weeks stay with our friends in Las Vegas. Their daughter says her husband told her it Is common knowledge among security people in Vegas that Paddock had Mandalay bell people carry heavy packages that are now assumed to have been the guns and ammo up to his room. . . and that it is being covered up as the ‘optics’ would not be good publicity wise.
TSA officers and metal detectors in front of every elevator in Vegas... Be sure to plan your departure time to allow for full body scans and body cavity searches. Allow at least an hour for every elevator trip.
Who says they can't both be one and the same?
I suspect this perk is so that the high roller can reduce that chances of being seen if they so desire.
I posted this possibility here on FR several days ago. If you have ever spent time in and around office buildings it is just such an obvious “risk corridor”. Construction crews, cleaning crews, and who knows what others routinely use freight elevators. It isn’t even a clever idea. It is totally obvious.
“I suspect this perk is so that the high roller can reduce that chances of being seen if they so desire.”
Yep. His real estate agent said when they would fly to check out properties, Paddock would take the long way around so he wouldn’t have to talk to any towers. This guy just didn’t like to interact unless it was impossible to avoid.
What is talking to towers?
I’m assuming he’s talking about smaller air traffic control towers.
I think you are right. Forgot he flew himself.
I thought I read a report that said he hasn’t been licensed for 3 years. Who knows...impossible to wade through the changing story line with even a shred of confidence that any of it is the truth.
;)
