I am interested in knowing how the SCOTUS Decided.

Which justice decided for and against dismissal.

But it expired, basically making this moot. How is that a win?

Serious question...

Investigate it to determine if there are grounds to remove those judges from the bench.

Good summation. I’m tired of all the Trump-hatred, just because he’s Trump.

I’m pretty sure that Trump is the type of person that if you don’t have a kill shot on his agenda you will end up handing him more victories down the road, when whatever scheme blows up in your face.

Every time this is brought up it’s a win. It’s exposing the Democrat mental cases who are determined to import even more terrorist into our country. Look what just happened in Las Vegas. People are thinking about it as they should. Imagine just 10 organized Mideastern terrorists in multiple high rises in a major population center..at rush hour.

Btw, these activist judges are clearly biased and blatant. What happened to ethics? The Democrat stooges made everything about politics, even judicial decisions. Disgusting.

“It goes back to the lower courts to start the merry-go-round again”

the real victory is that ALL of the lower court adjudications of the previous ban have been rendered moot, i.e., they never existed, therefore no precedents have been set and none of the decisions can be used in future suits.

Politico may have better information on this.

Basically, there are two lawsuits.

This only covers one of the lawsuits.

Link and excerpt below of Politico article (not Freerepublic):

Supreme Court drops one Trump travel ban case

The following is just an excerpt from that:

The Supreme Court on Tuesday dropped one of two challenges it was considering to President Donald Trump’s travel ban policy, declaring moot a lawsuit over Trump’s attempt to block issuance of visas to citizens of six majority-Muslim countries.

The high court’s move appeared to be an attempt by the justices to extricate themselves from pending litigation over the travel ban order that Trump issued in March, which was effectively superseded by a new directive the president signed on Sept. 24.

However, any effort by the court to clear the decks of the travel ban issue is likely to be short-lived. At least four lawsuits have been filed or are being retooled to challenge the new Trump proclamation, which imposed a varied set of travel restrictions on nationals of eight countries, including five of those on the original list.

...

Politico article has much more information after excerpt

This is just a suggestion.

The original body of text and link could be changed to the POLITICO article:

http://www.politico.com/story/2017/10/10/trump-travel-ban-supreme-court-243657

Excerpt on Post 39. No body on the thread would be why.

You could have the excerpt from Post 39 as the main body of this article.
