SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Multiple wildfires were burning early Monday in Sonoma and Napa counties, threatening homes and businesses and prompting mass evacuations as well as school cancellations and power outages. A fire in Santa Rosa crossed Highway 101 at about 2 a.m. and ignited structures west of the freeway in the area of Kohl's Department Store on Hopper Avenue, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department.

That looks like a really bad situation! Hospitals evacuated. No info on how the fires started?

Evacuation orders have issued for residents of the following Santa Rosa neighborhoods due to approaching fires
Cross Creek Road
Sky Farm Drive
Saint Andrews Drive All residences north Fountaingrove Parkway
Montecito Heights
The Hopper Avenue Area West of Coffey Lane (Between Dennis Lane and Hopper Avenue to the north and south and Coffey Lane and Barnes Road to the east and west)
All residences east of Fulton Road, between Piner Road and Guerneville Road
Kaiser Permanente Hospital and Sutter Hospital are being evacuated

ROAD CLOSURES
The following roads are blocked due to traffic:
Highway 101 southbound from Mark West Springs Road
Highway 101 northbound from Bicentennial Avenue
Highway 101 at Highway 12 southbound
Major electrical substation for entire area on corner of 101 North and River Road just north of the evacuation area.
I can see a new market opening up......Smoked Wines!............They already have Smoked Beer in Europe...............
I haven’t seen any info other than that the area is really dry now. That is not unusual for CA at the end of summer; in most years, it does not rain in the summer.
Kohl’s was letting men, real men, in the women’s dressing rooms long before Target. I quit them in 2008.
Real fire season in California actually starts in August. I know, everyone thinks it’s earlier.
I was in Kohl’s, Clovis, CA just the other day and was startled to see a “real man” in there picking up the clothes to hang back on the racks. Glared at him (I’m 77...doubt he was trying to sneak a peek)but thought it was an error and a “one off”. Should it happen again, I will say something to management, but that and a couple of bucks will buy me a coffee.
“Smoked wine”....that’s likely what the Willamette Valley of Oregon will have this year.
Likely the people of the Gatlinburg, TN. region will express gracious and considerate concern for the people in the wildfire damaged resort areas of California, now that the shoe is on the lefty foot.
