Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock has been described as a brilliant man who had an intimate knowledge of the second amendment and a room dedicated to his guns, according to a friend.
The Australian man, who wanted to remain anonymous, had multiple encounters with Paddock between 2013 and 2015 after he started dating his girlfriend's sister.

As investigators reconstruct the life and recent activities of Paddock in a bid to work out a motive, details keep emerging that suggest the gunman's mental health had deteriorated on the months prior to the massacre.
Paddock had reportedly experienced significant weight loss in the lead up to the shooting. He also developed an obsession with his girlfriend's ex-husband, Geary Danley, with whom she had been married to for more than 20 years before they finalized their divorce in 2015.

Both Paddock and Danley disappeared from the home within a couple of weeks in August, Page said.
'I remember at the start of August looking out of my window and seeing Stephen pull up in a brand new huge silver minivan,' she explained.
'But just a few days later he left the house in it and was never seen again.'
She continued: 'I thought the whole situation was even weirder when two weeks later I then look out of my window again to see Marilou stuffing her car full of all her belongings.
'Over the course of three or four days it was like she was moving her entire life out of the house. She packed so much stuff not only was her car full, but it was also tied to the top of her car.
'After a few days of packing she too pulled out of the driveway and was never seen again.

Pure conjecture, but I personally think this triangle is a key to what caused this horrific act. He may have been obsessed with jealousy of Geary Danley as the ex-husband of Marilou, and in some sick way this act was to show that he was ‘more than’ Geary.
What if Marilou admired Geary’s far left politics, and although they divorced, this was a part of him (his ideology and commitment to a cause) that she spoke about as one of his virtues. As a man with a propensity for obsession (e.g. his chemical phobia), maybe Paddock was consumed by obsessive jealousy. Geary was an ideologue/activist, and an alleged ‘gun expert’, so in this one horrific act Paddock thought he was showing once and for all that he was the ‘bigger’ man - more committed to an ideology (anti-conservative), a more knowledgable ‘gun expert’, and a person willing to ‘act’ on his ideology and do something beyond blogging or marching. I know this is very twisted and mentally unbalanced, but there is nothing mentally balanced about what he did.
Extreme actions often have extreme motivations, and jealousy can be an extreme motivation - especially for an aging man with obsessions who is in a failing relationship with someone who was married for a long time to someone she may have still admired.

And she told the cops she was sent on “vacation” to see her family and alludes that she didn’t know Paddock was going to wire her money to buy a house when she says she got worried it meant he’s breaking up with her.

Well, some chick at the concert knew. She ran toward the stage before the shooting started and said “we’re all going to die”.
They have to take away our guns in order to completely enslave us. After that they will be free to regulate free speech by controlling the internet. Maybe this massacre was part of their game. They probably don’t care who they kill.
The neighbor assumed the car was packed with the girlfriends stuff. It could have been anything.
