Anyone has the right to protest during the national anthem, and he has the opportunity to accept the consequences of his behavior. That's the conservative take.

Let's be clear--the government can't stop them. I didn't want to muddy the waters by noting that the NFL can make it a condition of employment. The NFL already does regulate speech--and snowflakes like my friend seem O.K. with it as long as it concerns causes that are politically correct.

Here's my question-- if teams start to toe the line now, what are the Antifa screwballs going to do about it?

I respectfully disagree. I always like to look at the consequences of how the leftists would turn things around and use them as weapons. I can see the leftists proclaiming a ban on protests during the anthem, then broadcasting it on a repeating loop to prevent any protests anywhere.

I actually do support the right of these thugs to say whatever they want. (That does NOT mean that I approve of their protests in any way whatsoever. I am adamantly against it. I only support their RIGHT to do it.) I also support the rights of the owners/league to fire them at any time for any reason. And I definitely support the right of all Americans to boycott.

I have notified one NFL sponsor of my disgust that they would continue to advertise on NFL games. If we all did that, in addition to not attending or watching, it might hit them where it hurts: their wallets.
