The U.S. Army has opened an investigation into West Point graduate Second Lieutenant Spenser Rapone for appearing to openly advocate for communism on social media.
Pictures of Rapone in uniform at West Point promoting pro-communism messages spread wildly around the internet Monday, in effect forcing West Point to issue a statement in response. The statement noted the Army has launched an investigation into Rapone’s activities.
“The U.S. Military Academy strives to develop leaders who internalize the academy’s motto of Duty, Honor, Country, and who live the Army values,” West Point said in a statement released Tuesday. “Second Lieutenant Rapone’s actions in no way reflect the values of the U.S. Military Academy or the U.S. Army. As figures of public trust, members of the military must exhibit exemplary conduct, and are prohibited from engaging in certain expressions of political speech in uniform. Second Lieutenant Rapone’s chain of command is aware of his actions and is looking into the matter. The academy is prepared to assist the officer’s chain of command as required.”

I know it and I'm sure he knows it too. One doesn't enlist in the Army then petition his superiors for an appointment to the Academy, then complete the four years of schooling just to throw it away as he has just done.

The crimes of which this soldier appears to be guilty do not warrant imposition of the death penalty.
However, serving up to a year in military confinement and being cashiered from the service would be entirely appropriate, IMHO.
The only thing I can divine out of this is that the guy is a supreme narcissist, much like anthony weiner.
The investigation needs to be conducted like an inquisition through all federal military academies.

But part of the reason Trump won last year is become people are starting to get fed up with all this crap. In Missouri, they just about ruined our largest state university. The riots and protests in St. Louis have been falling on deaf ears, and most people are being more open about their support for the police. And, of course, look at how the NFL is getting booed for their disrespect.
The tide is turning from the last eight years, and good people are saying, enough is enough.
