With Halloween fast approaching, costumes are quickly filling the racks. And one costume, in particular, is under fire. A U.S. “Border Patrol” get-up has generated outrage on social media in the wake of President Donald Trump’s termination of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA), among other controversial comments he’s made regarding the border between the United States and Mexico.
The costume from Spirit Halloween Superstores features a military green t-shirt that reads “Agent Wall” and “Border Patrol.” A”Border Patrol” hat can be purchased, in addition to a women’s version that reads: “Border Babe.”
The company’s website pitches the item with what some have called “tone-deaf” words: “Keep the border safe today, tomorrow and on Halloween! Let everyone know that you mean business with this border patrol work shirt!”
People have taken to social media to share their disapproval of the uniform, which is currently sold out. One user asked the store, “Do you have any idea how many lives and families are ruined over that?” Another urged shoppers to skip Spirit Halloween this season, writing: “This border patrol costume is offensive in every way and normalizes racism.”
Spirit Halloween defends the costume—which they have no plans of discontinuing—by saying it’s all in jest during the presidential news frenzy.

Last year they bitched and moaned about American Indian, Hawaiian, Geisha Girls,etc costumes because they were racist examples of “cultural appropriation “. More getting offended for the sake of getting offended. I remember years ago I dressed up as a Hasidic Jew and my buddy who was part Arabic dressed up as an Arab sheikh. Got a little blitzed and tried to do the Rock the Casbah video. Good times.

I recall buying a couple border patrol hats online at the same time I bought some ‘Hey Mr. President,where’s the 700 mile fence?’ T shirts.

Had a buddy in high skrool buy a surplus Dodge Ramcharger from the BP. One day while driving by a construction site he noticed people scattering. That day a new game was born.
Oh, the border patrol costume is awesome (but you better be able to defend yourself)!
It used to be fun to walk onto a construction site and shout 'La Migra' several times.
You can still have some fun in a restaurant by holding up your water glass and loudly saying 'ICE, ICE.'

You know if I had that I just might give out candy this year. I quit many years ago because of the third worlders hauling their kids in to our country club neighborhood. An unending stream of cars down our street following their kids.

Illegal aliens should be prohibited from trick or treating.
They have completely ruined it for real Americans with their overt greed and parasitism.
