NFL sponsors unconcerned about national anthem protests: Official
FOXBUS ^

The NFL’s top corporate sponsors haven’t expressed any concern about the unprecedented wave of player national anthem protests this weekend, a league spokesman said Monday.

NFL players engaged in widespread demonstrations on Sunday, hours after President Donald Trump called on the league’s owners to fire ‘son of a [expletive]’ who kneel during the pregame national anthem. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and the vast majority of the league’s 32 owners issued statements in solidarity with players and condemned Trump for engaging in divisive rhetoric.

“We talk to our sponsors all the time, whether it’s raining or the sun is out. We’ve talked to them, we keep them informed. I haven’t heard of a single issue of a sponsor that is worried or has raised particular issue about the weekend,” NFL spokesman Joe Lockhart told reporters during a conference call Monday.

I notice this afternoon that many “reporters” are saying that this was calming down and Trump poured gas on it. Utter BS. Trump just said what many are thinking and had no voice to be heard.

I have just let every sponsor whose products we purchase or use, know that I am disgusted with this ongoing protest and lack of respect for our flag.

I’m just one person, but more are doing the same. NFL says the sponsors don’t care? Well they will.

“Our population grows more unAmerican every day. The thing is, the more wealthy the seem to be, the more unAmerican they are.”

That’s funny. Light-skinned blacks are just as unAmerican as dark-skinned blacks.

Somebody with legal ability needs to please follow-up on posts yesterday which indicate that the NFL has established public guidelines on required behavior during the national anthem - it says that the anthem is to be played and that players are to stand, etc. If/as this rule is being violated while others ala RGIII are fined for similar situations, then the NFL is committing a public fraud! While the NFL is private per se, they are publicly accountable to abide by the rules they have publicly presented! If they aren’t going to change the rules then they need to start requiring players to behave like responsible citizens as they are apparently obligated contractually. This then becomes a MASSIVE CLASS ACTION against the NFL!

just happened to get a WYNDHAM (hotels) Visa reward application in the mail today

I called and told them I would love to apply for the rewards card but I will never do that because VISA is a sponsor of the anti-police, anti-military, anti-american NFL

I also told them that I will never be staying at their hotels ever again as long as they are associated with Visa

Yep, the fact that the NFL hired this clown says everything you need to know about them.

This from a friend:

Take if for what it’s worth but just got off the phone with an advertiser and he received a call from an account rep for the saints and the ticket office is receiving so many calls from season ticket holders wanting refunds and cancelling season tickets. They arent sure what they’re going to do”

I can believe that. The Times Picayune website is trying to move past the thing with fluff, but I don’t think it’s sticking. The coonasses are PO’d!

Profit margins are tight.

If we get 10-20% to cancel, the franchise will lose a fortune.

Get 10-20% to just turn off the TV sets, NFL will lose a fortune.

Other ways we can take down the NFL:

A mega-billion dollar CTE lawsuit verdict - punitive damages.

Class action for ticket holders. Asking for refunds due to it being a political event.

Cities and states yanking public funding. NFL is profitable because of $7 billion in corporate welfare (the stadiums).

Anti-Trust. Yank the laws protecting the NFL.

All those are kill shots to the NFL.

The NBA is next, and its spokesmen will be the incredibly stupid Lebron James, and the incredible obtuse Stephen Curry.

Many of us down here said it will not stop with Confederate monuments, and flags, and a small group on here said get rid of those symbols, of which is the same group probably which also said that homosexuals cold have civil unions and marriage as it will not affect Christians. mmmmm some people need to wake up, but then again I guarantee there are some on here who are disgusted by the NFL, but will still watch the NFL like hypocrites.

Oy. This is coming from a guy who was listed as a fast-response go-to for Cankle's email disaster. Talk about self-deception...

Is this the next step towards fascism since these corporations no longer fear the free markets? Because of all the government bail-outs, if they fail, they think the government will bail them out.

All this liberal indoctrination in our schools has led to this and the people running these things so out of touch with reality.

Seeing and reading the huge backlash around the internet and social medias, real market pressures and reality will eventually set in with these sponsors. They will all panic just like when Donald Trump was elected President, which wasn’t supposed to have happened either. President Trump was more true reality setting in.
