Virtually all of the teachers only spoke to reporters on condition of anonymity. One reason for that is that Maryland has a law prohibiting anyone (including staff) from bringing a firearm onto school property. At least one teacher admitted that she already does it anyway, keeping a 9 mm. with her at her desk. From the sound of the support that this training program is drawing, she’s not alone.

Screw that! I like living in California, and I just imagine that there are a lot of like-minded people who live in Maryland. Giving in to these commie a$$holes should not be on anyone’s mind. We won’t all fit into Texas and besides, the weather and the bugs there are the $hits.
Forty years ago I worked with Fed LEOs that would carry a second small piece in additional their issued weapon. The carrying of a second weapon was forbidden.
One of the guys explained that would rather be alive explaining it to his boss or even a jury, rather then to be permanently muted in a pine box.

I read a number of years back, that it was mathematically determined that the world's entire population could fit inside the borders of Texas, housed in typical suburban homes, with no more than three people per household.
