the old 'we're gonna carry but we're not allowed to carry' deal.Forty years ago I worked with Fed LEOs that would carry a second small piece in additional their issued weapon. The carrying of a second weapon was forbidden.
One of the guys explained that would rather be alive explaining it to his boss or even a jury, rather then to be permanently muted in a pine box.
