The "Washington Examiner" take on President Trump's speech last night.

Behind the distractions about the NFL-ESPN etc. the quote about "electability".

Something always brought up to discredit conservative and or outsider candidates including Donald J. Trump himself countless times last year.

President Trump chose to make this speech under the cover of Friday night for the national audience, but I would not be surprised to see his remarks in video ads or hear his words in robocalls in final days of the campaign for the folks in Alabama.

This election (once we get past Moore or Strange)...is a non-election year episode. You can figure that it’ll be lucky if one-million folks show up and vote. This works better for the GOP than the Democrats. You can figure for every Democrat coming out to vote...it’ll be two likely GOP-voters. If this had been a Presidential election period...I’d give higher odds on this being a bit closer. Whether Trump showed up or not....I don’t think he helps or changes the outcome of this primary...Moore wins, and goes easily on to win the final election.

So Trump has signed on to the despicable tactics of the GOPe, the rats who have sabotaged so many conservative candidates over the years. How many of these same rats harped about Trump’s “unelectability” during the primaries and right up to Election Day? This is disappointing in the extreme.

Trump's new Alabama pick can't possibly be worse than his last one..

I don't really care, frankly. Strange is a GOPe stooge, to be sure, albeit supportive of Trump (for now). Moore seems soft in the head, and prone to remarkably stupid utterances. That didn't work out too well for Todd Akin.

Obviously you folks didn’t actually listen to the speech but are making statements on what was written about it. The key reason that President Trump is supporting Senator Strange is that, when President Trump called him to ask for his vote on the healthcare bills, Luther Strange said, “You have my vote.” All the other Senators that President Trump called who were “nos” wanted something for their vote. So President Trump concluded that Senator Luther Strange is not a swamp creature.

Moore stood up to the judicial bullies. That’s what we need in D.C. How is it even possible that Moore isn’t electable compared to Strange? Either one of them is more than likely going to beat the Democrat. Trump should’ve stayed out of it.

When Moore wins President Trump can rub Mitch’s nose in it to demonstrate how out of touch he is with the base.

Trump is afraid Moore will lose and his Senate margin will decline. It’s already razor thin. Trump is used to New York politics where candidates must be lukewarm to be elected as a R. At this point it doesn’t matter, the R’s aren’t doing anything anyway, regardless of their margin.

Take it to the bank. Trump will return to Alabama to campaign for Roy Moore to be elected in November.

Trump presents a weak argument. Strange could also lose! What I hear him saying is he would rather work with swamp creatures than real conservatives. Disappointing. Also disappointing is why Trump doesn’t ask the senate leader wus to take away leadership roles from senators that don’t support Trump’s agenda. Where the hell is a guy like Sam Rayburn when you need one; Sam knew how to control his people even though they were demorats!

Trump should have never gotten into this race. The media will blame him when Strange loses Tuesday even though he, Alabama and America win with Moore.

When I read the articles title it was something that I had suspected, I suspect a lot. It’s not that I think Roy Moore is unelectable in the general election. I suspect that President Trump has been given bad advice by the REAPErs (new acronym: Republican Establishment Appeasing Political Elitist). I suspect there may even be internal poling that shows that Moore can’t win the general election. I suspect that those poles are as fake as last years presidential election poling, as I said I suspect a lot.

My profile shows I’m in FL, but I’ve been in AL for a few years. My take is that regardless of who wins the republican run off, the republican will win in the general. As anecdotal evidence when I voted in the primary I signed the republican ledger to vote in the republican primary, I signed on line 473. I glanced at the democratic ledger; the last signature was on line 37. Granted that’s in northern AL, but still with sort of difference in turn out I just don’t see a democrat winning.

ROY MOORE for U.S. PRESIDENT 2024

Trump fears the competition for presidency.

It’s so nice the media is using Trump’s comments to help Luther Strange. They must really prefer him to won that Moore.

I am not sure why Trump is supporting Strange, unless he is trying to appease the RINO’s - which is disappointing. They stab him in the back constantly.

Trump is running off rails if he think this fat cat D.C. Lobbyist is a pal and a cheap labor express troll .

One more amnesty vote as I see it and Ivanka / Jared want DACA Amnesty .

Trump previously supported McCain and Ryan .
More disasterous picks .

He should have stayed neutral rather than stick his nose where it’s not wanted but for to help the Unity party and the swamp .

Stupid visit .

Sort of like how Ted Cruz would not being able to win against Hillary??

This might be the exact reason Trump is supporting Strange.
