Campus is on lockdown. This is after the shooting of the dude with a knife last night who came at a police officer. Suicide by cop.
Meanwhile, ten people killed in Chicago over the weekend, no protests.
What are they protesting?
The guy wanted to die and advanced on a cop with a knife.

So cops cannot shoot or use other force against black criminals? The Philippines are working around a problem like that. I doubt that the black community would like their methods.

I saw a pic on a newscast of the “kinfe”. It appeared to be a Leatherman combination tool thingy. The knife part was still folded.
Parents of the thing have egged on the protests, blaming cops instead of their son/daughter/thing.

At least SLMPD locked up 123 last night. That’s been the best catch in three years and what should have happened in Ferguson the first flipping night.

No other civilized county’s police would have have shot this guy at that point. They simply would have moved away from him and resumed efforts to non-leathaly neutralize him. Police in the US used to be more like that too.
If police are going to continue to kill people in these kinds of circumstances, riots and retaliatory killings of police will become routine.
