Police arrested an 18-year-old man Saturday morning in the port area of Dover in connection with an attack a day earlier on a train at a London Underground station, London's Metropolitan Police said.
It was a "significant arrest" as the investigation continues, Deputy Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu, the senior national coordinator for counterterrorism policing, said in a statement. "This arrest will lead to more activity from our officers. For strong investigative reasons, we will not give any more details on the man we arrested at this stage," he said.
ISIS has claimed involvement in the train blast but has offered no evidence to support the claim. Dover, about 80 miles southeast of London, is a port town with regular ferry services to France.

It’s Islam, stupid.
Is he Moslem, or would it be too inflammatory to release such information as to his background/ethnicity??? Brits want to bend over backwards to show there’s no bias against any certain groups of people.
Pretty amazing they caught the guy (hopefully the right one) already. Although seeing as the “bomb” mostly fizzled, I’m guess the guy isn’t too bright. Having security cameras every 100 feet probably helps a lot too.

Not yet..
the main goal of UK counterterrorism strategy is that moslems don’t feel bad.
The Al’tutin Mosque of Dearborn, Michigan,
wishes to assure that we know nothing about
tomorrow’s attack on the US power grid.
Notice how we haven’t had a Muslim terrorist attack in the US lately? Trump’s rhetoric probably has something to do with it. They know that it would hurt their “cause” to attack under this Administration, so they refrain.
Guess we would have problems here, the way security cameras are set up.

Fewer than a quarter of the train cameras function, per this article about BART last year. Kudos to London for having working cameras.
Amen prime Minister May’s apology to President Trump’s comment seems quite over due, doesn’t it?
Was there anything “sgnificant” about “the man” that was arrested?
KNOCK ON WOOD!
I understand your sentiment, but no need. The ending result, no matter which path it takes, will end up as it should.
Another attack followed by another arrest followed by another attack followed by another arrest and on and on and on. I don’t expect things to actually get better.
I heard on tv earlier that he was a refugee that had been taken in through foster care. The comment was something like, this is how they show their gratitude.
The media seems to not want to cover this but this article tells how this foster care couple’s house got raided but didn’t go into details on why.
And nothing will be done after this one either. What needs to be done is expel ALL the mucking fuzzies from the UK. Don’t send them here - send them to Saudia Arabia or any other muzzy hellhole.
