TOM BRADY: I'VE NEVER HAD A CONVERSATION WITH KAEPERNICK
TMZ ^ | September 11, 2017 | TMZ

Tom Brady says he doesn't have any sort of relationship with Colin Kaepernick -- explaining, "I've never really had a conversation with him." The New England Patriots QB called in to WEEI radio on Monday and was asked if he's been paying attention to the Kaepernick saga -- and the ongoing national anthem demonstrations around the league. Brady says he doesn't give Kaepernick much thought because his attention "goes a lot of places" at this time of the year ... and he's too busy to think about Colin. Tom was also pressed on if he was proud that his teammates don't sit or take a knee during the anthem -- to which he explained, "I don't really pay attention to that."

Probably telling the truth which is why he’s a champion year in and year out. He actually only paid attention to football during the football season

Perhaps Brady is just avoiding the enemedia potential traps. He knows their insidious games.

Remember the names hockey goalie Tim Thomas was called when he didn’t go to the White House during Obama’s presidency.

I won’t attack you but it’s prudent.

Why should he destroy his season getting attacked and perhaps his wife attacked and having all sorts of issues?

The time will come when Brady can say what we all know he thinks.

Kind of like me and Trump in NYC :) Except he was successful lol.

I had to play middle of the field during interviews to get hired and he did it to not destroy any great business relationships.

When he was old enough and rich enough, he didn’t care anymore.

Now that i’m old enough and poor enough, I DONT care anymore lol.

I NEVER agreed with the interviewer, but I didn’t think it prudent to argue politics with the person who would be hiring me.

Those silly things like food and shelter get in the way of politics :)

Once I was established, I would speak my mind freely at work. Even had some closet conservatives whisper to me in dark corners how they agreed with me :)

Yes I agree with you and no player should fight publicly with their own team. However, everyone should have an opinion when our national anthem is being protested.

What does “not really” had a conversation mean, Mr. Brady? You either conversated or you did not conversate, so which is it? Mr. Brady? And if you DID conversate, what do you know or not know to classify it as a “real” conversation or a “not really” conversation?

Please. Brady is smart. He’s not falling into an obvious trap by the biased, agenda-driven media.

I think what you meant to say was everyone should be allowed an opinion

Can’t blame him for blowing it off. That’s why lawyers always hear the term ‘no comment.’

Only two kinds of people don’t have to care what anybody thinks of them - the very rich and the very poor. The rest of us? Stuck in the middle.

(p.s. this is also why the very rich can ally with the very poor to put the squeeze on the middle.)

Brady is focused. He knows if he came out one way or the other that it would become the story. The Pats, aside from the obvious, do not create their own drama.

I can see how he may have exchanged a few words in passing with another quarterback, possibly out of politeness, but never discussed anything meaningfull for example.

It’s pretty easy to guess, he’s not claiming he’s never exchanged a word with Kaeperdick (such as, at the end of the game, NFL QBs usually shake hands and say “good game”). By saying no “conversations” he is making the perfectly reasonable points that (1) no detailed or informative “conversations” with CK; (2) he does not feel he “knows” CK; (3) he does not care to discuss CK’s ideas or actions.

There is no good reason Brady should involve himself with CK. I thought most FReepers understand that we prefer our athletes and entertainers to “shut up and sing.” I don’t particularly want to hear any professional athlete trying to expound on national and international issues.

Why are you in such a snit over nothing?
