It’s not any question of “attacking” you but I simply disagree. Brady does not need to discuss CK and does not want to discuss CK. I prefer my athletes and entertainers to “shut up and sing.” I do not look to them for wisdom or guidance on national and international issues.

Only the best football player in history. And why should he pay attention to the players during the National Anthem. Quite frankly, you are supposed to focus on the flag and what it means. His guys don't sit or kneel so he focus’ on what needs to get done for the day.

Why would he? He’s on another team.

"It’s pretty easy to guess, he’s not claiming he’s never exchanged a word with Kaeperdick (such as, at the end of the game, NFL QBs usually shake hands and say “good game”). By saying no “conversations” he is making the perfectly reasonable points that (1) no detailed or informative “conversations” with CK; (2) he does not feel he “knows” CK; (3) he does not care to discuss CK’s ideas or actions."

I don't know off the top of my head, but how often did the Patriots play the 49'ers during Brady's tenure?

They are in opposite leagues, AFC/NFC.

The reporter's question was asinine on its face.

Does Brady have intimate political conversations with other QBs, ever?

He's friends with Peyton Manning, but even then I doubt Brady calls him up to just chat about world affairs.

And Peyton is a republican, anyway.

They'd probably agree on politics.

You have obviously never really watched him play.

The thing that initially amazed me about Brady way back in 2001 was his absolute willingness to hang in there until the last possible split second, even if it meant taking a serious hit.

Perhaps you are referring to his declining to declare politically. Yeah right, as if it is not all so very clear.

Gee, can’t argue with you there.

It’s not exactly ultra conservative to say you should RESPECT the lives that were sacrificed in the name of freedom, of which that song is about!!

To be fair, I didn’t know it was about the War of 1812 until my late 20s. Thought it was about the revolution.

I bet those ####s kneeling have NO IDEA what it’s about.

I NEVER thought of that.

Fills in a lot of the blanks.

Thanks.

yes, they don’t play regularly since they are NFC and AFC (or rather Kaeperdick used to be NFC), but glancing online it looks like they played twice in recent years: 2012 and 2016.

So they may have met to shake hands after a couple of games, that’s it, possibly. Brady didn’t say he’d never met or spoken words to CK, he said he’d never had a real “conversation”.... seems obvious he does not want to get into the issues and does not need to get into the issues.

Actually, I really liked the way Brady told Roger Goodell to pound sand when he was told to hand over his cell phone during the Deflate-gate gong show. Stuck up for himself against a PC commissioner who, on most days, can’t find his own arse with both hands, a flashlight, and a search warrant. Reminded me a bit of Jim McMahon and his headband.

Yes.. I’m no Patriots fan (Actually a Raiders fan—Tuck Rule still hurts), but there is no denying Tom Brady is a true professional. He doesn’t allow himself to be distracted nor cause distractions for his teammates, coaches, or the NFL. On the other had, I still don’t like the Patriots ;>.

Why do you say that? Because he won’t comment on Kapernick? He knows better than to make headlines like that. Heck, if he commented forcefully (which I asume is what you want) he would be causing the same sort of distraction Kap is causing.

Some will attack me here, but Brady is a coward

Nope. He focuses on football during the football season which is why year in and year out he's a top quarterback.

Brady knows he is paid to entertain, not protest. The league he loves is taking a hit. He isn’t going to give it additional attention.

Why should Brady discuss this kind of crap?

He’s a pro football player. That’s his focus.

As it should be.

It means you shake hands after the game and exchange a few words.

That’s because the first game Kaepernick ever started he kicked Brady’s butt.
