Their pitching and timely hitting are on fire. They also go up a game on Houston for best record in the AL.

And the Dodgers have lost 10 in-a-row. Who saw that coming.
If the Indians don’t win it this year, they never will.

I’m still afraid last year was their year. Just too many injuries, 2 1/2 starters and they just ran out of gas.

I think the Cubs were a little bit better last year. But this year, the Indians are by far the best team going into the playoffs.

Ever since the Dodgers were featured on this
Sports Illustrated cover:
The team has gone into a frightening tailspin. Ouch--the SI cover jinx really does live.
As for the Indians, I do want them to win this year so the city of Cleveland can assuage the loss of the Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.

They are only 5 back of the Dodgers and gaining fast.

Happens almost every year, though. The team that finishes super-strong falters in the playoffs. It’s like the excitement of grabbing the pennant or the wild card makes for complacency going forward. Would be great if the Tribe makes it to the Big Show, though!

And the Dodgers went from the 1927 Yankees to a class A minor league team in the same period

Well, sure would be a bummer if they featured Obama golfing, Hillary cackling, or DWS emailing.
Sure would be a shame.

That’s better than losing your 18th victory in a row, I guess.
