The entire Florida Peninsula and points north are poised to experience Hurricane Irma after the storm hugged Cuba's northern coastline. Thousands of Floridians who evacuated the Atlantic cost to Gulf Coast areas found their safe shelter under direct threat from Hurricane Irma as the forecast shifted W Friday night and Saturday. Hurricane Irma's prolonged interaction with Cuba diminished its strength to Category 3.
Irma is forecast to increase in strength as it crosses the FL Straits. The Florida Keys experienced strong outer bands while Irma grazed the N Cuba coastline.

I can’t imagine what it’s like being a meteorologist nowadays with climate change witch doctors and Weather Channel hoopla...it must be comparable to how bankers felt after 2008, how State Debt officials felt after Hillary, and how Priests felt after the pederasty horrors. My hat is off to the good ones.

My brother in law has a charter boat that he loves to fish out of the Keys.
The captain and crew have weathered many hurricanes there.
When Irma came up, they decamped and left for Ohio. He anchored his boats as well as he could, but he fears they will be lost.
When a long time charter captain says “nope”, it is going to get serious. I hope those that stayed are prepped and ready for this. I fear they are a lot of hippsters that have no idea of what might happen.
I do not know why, but ‘Twister’ is one of my favorite movies...

I take WDW closing is like the local store closing for a blizzard in the Midwest. It is all fun and games till the place you buy your beer shuts down. Then it is time to worry
Did you look at the map of the storm track history?
Supposedly some TV station is reporting Irma will be back to Cat 4 in 30 minutes at 11PM EST.
Is this possible?
